Job Description

Job Title: Business Operations Specialist
Duration: 12 months, Possible extension of the role
Location: 100% Remote

             
Summary:
The Business Operations Specialist 2 supports Data Governance & Stewardship initiatives by maintaining client relationships and acting as a business analyst. Key responsibilities include managing and improving client customer data quality, overseeing data stewardship processes, training staff, and ensuring work quality and timelines are met. The role involves working with pharmaceutical client data using tools, documenting processes, reporting metrics and SLA performance, and providing feedback to both internal and client teams.
 
Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for overseeing and managing a client's customer data management processes and tasks. This role is responsible for assessing and improving the quality of a pharmaceutical client's customer data (Physicians, Organizations, etc.). Using a combination of data and tools to work with client's data within their systems (MDM, CRM, etc.) and/or spreadsheets to review and verify data. The DG&S Business Operations Specialist 2 works closely with the client on both Data Stewardship and Data Governance engagements. Tasks include but are not limited to the development and documentation of business processes related to data management. The DG&S Business Operations Specialist 2 is responsible for providing on-going feedback to both management and client peers of data issues and areas that require special attention or escalation. The DG&S Business Operations Specialist 2 will also be responsible for reporting out to the client on a predefined schedule all metrics and SLA performance.
 
Skills and Experience Requirements:
 
• Undergraduate degree (desired or applicable work experience)
• Experience with medical data (required)
• Experience with data and/or pharmaceutical data (desired)
• Fundamental understanding of relational databases (i.e. MDM and CRM technologies) (desired)
• Technology understanding and fluency
• Process development and workflow design
• Project management and operations leadership
• Detail oriented, good data entry, research, and analytical skills
• KPI Tracking and data analysis
• Strong customer service skills with excellent verbal and written communications
• Eagerness to learn, ability to follow directions, and ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Ability and experience leading teams
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams and CoPilot (Access is a plus)
