Travel Requirement: Approximately 50% travel, including day trips to customer sites and trade shows
About the Role
The Business Development Manager will support the On-Board & Testing (OB&T) and Ground Telemetry Solutions (GTS) business units. This role is responsible for identifying, developing, and capturing new customers and business opportunities across the U.S. West Coast, with a primary focus on California. The position will build and sustain a strong sales pipeline covering a two- to three-year horizon.

About the Role
The Business Development Manager will support the On-Board & Testing (OB&T) and Ground Telemetry Solutions (GTS) business units. This role is responsible for identifying, developing, and capturing new customers and business opportunities across the U.S. West Coast, with a primary focus on California. The position will build and sustain a strong sales pipeline covering a two- to three-year horizon.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the CRM database by logging opportunities to estimate the sales pipeline and adjust order forecasts shared with management.
- Drive revenue growth across the West Coast market, with a primary focus on the On-Board Testing & Telemetry product line, including Flight Test Instrumentation and Ground-Based Equipment.
- Identify and generate new business opportunities in adjacent markets such as Space, Missiles, Hypersonics, Watercraft, eVTOLs, and related sectors, while managing existing accounts through increased customer engagement
- Build and maintain a deep understanding of customer program requirements, current and future opportunities, production schedules, organizational structures, and key decision-makers within military and prime contractor organizations.
- Gather and submit market intelligence related to competitors, emerging product ideas, pricing trends, industry developments, and customer feedback from meetings, publications, and other sources.
- Develop strategic product roadmaps to enhance existing offerings or support new product development, including business cases informed by customer needs.
- Lead and participate in Gate Reviews for new business opportunities to ensure organizational alignment and informed decision-making.
- Expand market offerings through the introduction of new products and capabilities.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- U.S. Citizenship required, subject to contractual obligations as a defense contractor.
- 5–10 years of business development experience, including sales to government customers, prime contractors, and/or within the aerospace or defense industry.
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in a technical discipline, or equivalent military education.
- Experience with commercial or military avionics, airborne recording systems, flight test instrumentation, tracking antennas, and network/data processing is highly desirable.

- Experience working in ITAR and CUI-regulated environments.
- Product knowledge and hands-on experience with Flight Test Instrumentation and RF systems for commercial and military applications.
- Proven success in customer-facing roles, developing accounts through both technical and non-technical engagement with a focus on customer-specific requirements.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with partners, consultants, and representatives to facilitate customer access and growth.
