Position Title: Project Manager I
Work Location: Columbus OH USA 43219
Assignment Duration: 12 Months
Work Arrangement: 100% onsite
Position Summary: Experienced Project Scheduler Creates and maintains detailed project timelines by outlining tasks, estimating labor needs, and coordinating with teams and stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time and within scope. Key responsibilities include using project management software to track progress, communicating updates and potential delays, identifying and mitigating risks, and generating reports for management.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain schedules: Create comprehensive project schedules that detail tasks, dependencies, durations, and resource assignments using project management software.
• Coordinate and communicate: Collaborate with project managers, internal departments, external vendors, and stakeholders to align on project goals, deadlines, and progress.
• Monitor and analyze progress: Track project execution against the schedule, identify potential issues or bottlenecks, and analyze performance data to forecast risks and suggest solutions.
• Report and advise: Provide regular status reports to management and stakeholders on project health, timelines, and key milestones. Advise the team on necessary schedule adjustments or remediation plans.
• Manage resources: Help plan resource allocation and priorities to ensure the project stays on track and within budget.
Qualification & Experience:
• Technical skills: Proficiency in project scheduling software (e.g., MS Projects) is essential.
• Analytical skills: The ability to analyze project data, identify risks, and evaluate performance is crucial for creating realistic and effective schedules.
• Communication skills: Strong interpersonal skills are needed to effectively communicate with various team members and stakeholders and build rapport.
• Organizational skills: Excellent organizational abilities are necessary for managing complex timelines and keeping detailed records.
Experience: A background in project management, scheduling, and planning is typically required, along with knowledge of the specific industry the project is in.
• 2-5 years experience
• Proficiency in project scheduling software (e.g., MS Projects) is essential.
• Certifications PMI-SP (yes to see if we can find, but not a requirement)
• Bachelor’s degree in any field with required experience.
