Job Description: Overview:
- Join Reality Labs as a Contingent Worker and contribute significantly to the advancement of AR/VR technology.
- The role involves operating a premier laboratory in the field, generating crucial data for next-generation systems, and collaborating with leading experts.
Key Projects/Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Operate Data Collection Labs
- Set up, monitor, and maintain lab equipment for AR/VR device testing.
- Ensure accurate and efficient data gathering.
- Analyze Data
- Process and interpret experimental results.
- Use statistical methods and tools to derive insights from collected data.
- CAD, Scripting, and Programming
- Use CAD tools for designing lab setups and custom parts.
- Write scripts and code (Python, C++, etc.) to automate data collection and analysis.
Must-Have Skills
- Programming - Python C++
- Lab Work, developing tooling, running experiment
Nice-to-have Skills:
- Experience with computer Vision, cameras, sensors, having some experience in physics , engineering
- AR VR projects
- Camera company
Years of Experience:
- Someone who has at least 5-7 years of experience
Mandatory Skills:
- Demonstrated proficiency in Python and C++.
- Solidworks: Practical experience in designing parts for 3D printing and machining.
- Laboratory Work: Direct experience in device control, tooling development, experiment execution, and statistical data analysis.
Desirable Skills
- Experience with Computer Vision tools.
- Familiarity with Camera systems.
- Knowledge of Lidar mapping systems.
Educational Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in Optical Sciences, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related discipline is required
- Equivalent professional experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Core Responsibilities
- Manage the operation of a 3D Depth Sensing Characterization Laboratory, executing comprehensive test plans utilizing robotic test automation for AR/VR components (including projectors, cameras, sensors, and optics
- Engage in effective collaboration and communication within a cross-functional team environment.
