Job Title: Histotechnologist
Duration:: 3+ monthsLocation: 2000 Church Street, Nashville, TN 37236
Shift: 3rd Shift | 3:00 AM – 11:30 AM | Tuesday–Saturday
Interview Mode : In person preferred. Video conference with camera on.
Position Summary
The Histotechnologist is responsible for performing complex medical laboratory tests to support the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease. This role ensures high-quality laboratory practices through accurate testing, supervision, and adherence to quality standards.
Key Responsibilities

Review laboratory findings to ensure accuracy and reliability of results

Supervise clinical studies and research-related laboratory projects

Instruct staff on the operation, calibration, and maintenance of laboratory equipment, including spectrophotometers, calorimeters, flame photometers, and computer-controlled analyzers

Develop, standardize, evaluate, and modify laboratory procedures, techniques, and tests

Establish and monitor quality assurance programs to maintain accuracy and compliance

Supervise, train, and mentor laboratory assistants, technicians, and technologists

Ensure proper documentation and accurate recording of laboratory data and results

Expert knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and applicable local regulations

Advanced ability to analyze data and document results accurately
Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or a related field (required)

5–7 years of relevant laboratory experience (required)
