Job Title: Technical Program Manager III 
Duration: 12 Months
Location: Remote
 
Role Overview: As a highly skilled Technical Program Manager (TPM) you will lead the adoption and optimization of Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, etc.) for hardware teams managing Product Development Processes (PDP) across Reality Labs (RL). This role will drive process standardization, tool integration, reporting, dashboard, AI integration and optimization, and best practices to enable efficient hardware product development and cross-functional collaboration. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution of projects, process improvements, and stakeholder alignment. This role requires strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to operate in a dynamic environment.
Top 3 Must-Have Hard Skills
  1. Atlassian Tool Expertise – Proven experience deploying and configuring Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence) in large organizations, ideally for hardware teams.
  2. Hardware Product Development – Process Knowledge
    • Strong understanding of hardware product development lifecycles and PDP (Product Development Process) methodologies.
  3. Technical Program Management & Change Management
    • 5+ years in technical program management, process improvement, or tool adoption roles, with experience leading change management initiatives in fast-paced, matrixed environments.
 
Good to Have Skills
  • Prior experience in AR/MR, consumer electronics, or hardware industries.
  • Knowledge of consumer hardware development lifecycles.
  • Atlassian certifications (e.g., Jira Administrator, Confluence Administrator).

Key Responsibilities:
Process & Tool Strategy for Hardware PDP
  • Develop and execute a strategy for Atlassian tool adoption tailored to hardware PDP workflows.
  • Assess current hardware development processes, identify gaps, and execute Atlassian-based solutions to improve efficiency and traceability.
Stakeholder Engagement
  • Collaborate with hardware engineering, program management, operations, and cross-functional partners to understand PDP requirements and pain points.
  • Facilitate workshops, training sessions, and feedback loops to ensure successful tool adoption and process alignment.
Implementation & Change Management
  • Lead the configuration, rollout, and onboarding of Atlassian tools for hardware teams, including migration of legacy processes and data.
  • Create documentation, training materials, and support resources specific to hardware PDP use cases.
Governance & Best Practices
  • Establish governance models, usage guidelines, and reporting standards for Atlassian tools in the context of hardware PDP.
  • Monitor tool usage, adoption metrics, and continuously iterate on processes to drive continuous improvement.
Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Atlassian tool initiatives related to hardware PDP within RL.
  • Align with central Client teams on tool integrations, compliance, and security, ensuring hardware-specific needs are addressed.
 
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in technical program management, process improvement, or tool adoption roles, preferably in hardware product development.
  • Proven expertise in deploying Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence) in large organizations preferably for hardware teams.
  • Strong understanding of hardware product development lifecycles and PDP methodologies.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience leading change management initiatives in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in AR/MR, consumer electronics, or hardware industries.
