Job Description

Position Title: Lab Technician
Work Location: Social Circle, GA, USA 30025
Assignment Duration: 6 months (possible extension)
Work Schedule: Thursday–Sunday (either 06:00–16:30 or 13:30–00:00)
Work Arrangement: Onsite

 
Position Summary
Conducts and performs a wide range of biological, chemical, and physical analyses on pharmaceutical products (biologics and drugs) throughout all stages of the manufacturing process, from incoming raw materials to finished goods. Responsibilities may also include supporting environmental monitoring programs.
This position may be applicable to QC Analytical or Microbiological Testing, Compliance, QCMIS, or Laboratory Operations.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Collect samples from manufacturing areas to evaluate environmental classifications or critical utility integrity.
  • Conduct critical biological, chemical, and physical analyses, including testing of raw materials, initial, in-process, and final products, as well as environmental monitoring samples collected from company manufacturing facilities.
  • Operate sophisticated laboratory instrumentation and computer systems to collect and record data (e.g., LIMS).
  • Perform assays requiring precise analytical skills and understanding of biology and chemistry principles.
  • Complete all testing, including special project/protocol testing, in a timely and appropriate manner.
  • Initiate and obtain appropriate approval for test requests.
  • Maintain inventory and supplies necessary for routine testing (as applicable).
  • Follow continuous improvement practices (QLP, 5S, LEAN, etc.).
  • Perform equipment maintenance and calibrations as required.
  • Maintain data integrity and ensure compliance with company SOPs, specifications, FDA, GLP, QSR, and cGMP regulations.
  • Perform release functions in LIMS or other computerized systems.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
 
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biological science, or a related technical field required.
  • Some related work experience preferred.
  • Recommended experience levels:
    • Associate Level: 0–3 years
    • Intermediate Level: 4–7 years
    • Senior Level: 8+ years
 
Microbiology (If Applicable)
  • Environmental monitoring
  • Critical utility sampling
  • Endotoxin testing
  • Bioburden testing for raw materials and in-process samples
  • Process sample testing
  • Microbial identification
  • Final product sterility testing
