Title: Process Engineer - Level 1
Duration: 11+ Months
Location: NE, USA, 68462
Description:
Primary Role Purpose
This is a critical role in the OPEX Team at the Site, and will report into the Site Operational Excellence Process Engineering Manager. This role is fundamental in executing the Continuous Improvement Plans for the Site, to achieve its growth and profitability objectives.
The Process Engineer will aid in the implementation the HAPS (Haleon Performance System) principles/tools at the site to deliver the Business Strategy, improve Business Performance (Safety, Quality, Service, & Cost), by using a data-driven approach. This role will also play a key role in Project Management and execution of Productivity initiatives that align with the Site goals.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage F4G (Opportunity and Loss Matrix) projects
• Optimize and maintain HAPS tools for site usage
• Facilitate kaizen events to support site results
• SME at two Reliability pillars (5S/SMED/AM/Centerlining)
• Conducts RCAs for waste, line balancing, and line flow
Complexity/Scope
• # of Annual Projects = 6 to 10
Job Requirements and Qualifications
Education & Experience:
• Engineering degree
• 3+ years of experience in FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods) or pharmaceutical environment
• OPEX SME - The candidate must have experience in Operational Excellence Systems execution, such as Lean or Six Sigma project management
• Business Partner/Interpersonal – The Candidate must have excellent interpersonal and networking skills to enable effective and influential internal communication, from hourly to Functional Director level
• IT Skills: MS Office
• Agility: Capable of working on multiple projects at one time
• Communication: Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills
Quality Responsibilities – All Associates
• Adhere to all Quality Compliance standards (Data Integrity, ALCOA, cGMP, QA QC, etc.) including QMS policy and regulatory requirements.
Preferred Education & Experience:
• Chemical or Industrial engineering degree (Master Degree in Industrial Engineering)
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt
• Knowledge of Pharmaceutical and OSHA regulatory training requirements
• OPEX SME - The candidate must have experience in Operational Excellence Systems execution, such as VSM and/or experience in problem-solving techniques (Root Cause Analysis)
• Consumer Orientated/External perspective - The candidate will have a Manufacturing background with experience in FMCG Operations
• IT Skills: Power BI, OEE % data collection systems
