Job Description

Position Title: Quality Lab Associate
Work Location: Round Lake, IL, USA 60073
Assignment Duration: 6 months (possible extension)
Work Arrangement: Onsite

 
Position Summary
Conduct biological, chemical, and physical analyses on pharmaceutical products (biologics and drugs) and medical devices through all stages of the manufacturing process—from incoming raw materials to finished goods—and support environmental monitoring programs.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct critical biological, chemical, and physical analyses on raw materials, initial, in-process, and final products, as well as samples collected from environmental monitoring programs at The Organization’s manufacturing facilities. Work under minimum supervision.
  • Use sophisticated laboratory instrumentation and computer systems to collect and record data.
  • Perform advanced assays requiring precise analytical skills and an understanding of biology and chemistry principles.
  • Complete all testing, including special project/protocol testing, in a timely and appropriate manner.
  • Maintain data integrity and ensure compliance with company SOPs and specifications, FDA, GLP, QSR, and cGMP regulations.
  • Investigate deviations and write exception documents.
  • Participate in team-based functions that impact production, increase efficiency, solve problems, generate cost savings, and improve quality.
  • Perform laboratory and manufacturing audits as required. Audit and update plant SOPs as needed.
  • Perform equipment maintenance and calibrations as required.
 
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or Biological Science with Analytical Chemistry or Laboratory coursework, with 0–2 years of experience.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently and in a timely fashion.
  • Computer literate.
  • Detail-oriented, conscientious, and possessing high reading comprehension skills.
  • Basic understanding of laboratory instrumentation.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with supervisors and peers.
