Title: Senior Cloud Engineer
Duration: 12 Months

* This position supports a U.S. government contract that requires U.S. citizenship
*This position also requires the chosen contract worker to achieve Public Trust security clearance. Additional background screenings must be completed with Reed Tech upon acceptance.
BASIC FUNCTIONS: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cloud Engineer to support and ensure the reliability, scalability, and resilience of mission-critical systems.
Key Responsibilities
· Design, deploy, and manage Azure cloud infrastructure using Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC).· Develop, maintain, and version Terraform modules and templates for reusable, consistent deployments.
· Implement and manage Azure services such as Virtual Machines, Virtual Networks, Storage Accounts, App Services, AKS, and Azure SQL.
· Collaborate with DevOps, Security, and Application teams to ensure robust CI/CD pipelines and secure configurations.
· Automate provisioning, configuration, and scaling of cloud infrastructure.
· Monitor system performance, optimise costs, and ensure high availability and disaster recovery readiness.
· Enforce cloud governance, security best practices, and compliance standards (e.g., Azure Policy, RBAC, managed identities).
· Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and provide operational support for cloud environments.
· Document infrastructure architecture, standards, and automation processes.
Required Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).· 3–5+ years of hands-on experience managing infrastructure in Microsoft Azure.
· 2–3+ years of experience with Terraform (HCL), including module creation, state management, and CI/CD integration.
· Strong understanding of Azure networking, security, and identity management.
· Experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar CI/CD tools.
· Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python.
· Familiarity with containerization (Docker, AKS/Kubernetes) and monitoring tools (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics).
· Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
· Manage Kubernetes deployments, Databricks environments, and other critical platforms.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, reliable, and cost-effective platform and cloud solutions.
· Ensuring all systems comply with security patching and vulnerability management tools.
· In collaboration with architects, provide support for FinOps practices to monitor, optimise, and control cloud costs.
