Title: Field Service Technician II 
Location:  Hot Springs, AR 71901
Duration: 9 months (Possibility of extension)
Shift:  M-F 8-5 w/overtime plus travel 


This is a 9-month project, at times they will travel locally to client sites within driving distance and be home each night. At other times they will fly to other locations within their region. When they are flying, they will be travelling overnight from Sunday to Thursday and won’t be home until the end of the week. The working days will still be Monday to Friday, even though in some cases the candidate will be traveling overnight starting Sunday. Friday would be a meeting (remote) with their team lead once they are back home. OT may be required. Requires a valid state driver's license (Real ID compliant), clean MVR, and a reliable vehicle.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Project focus on upgrading advanced commercial printers at retail locations.
• Duties may include replacing printer parts, paper feed, power supply, changing the print head, changing toner drum, transfer belt, and image unit.
• Perform complex upgrades and troubleshooting of printers, servers, hard drives, and monitor systems.
• Provide on-site technical support to internal or external customers in resolving complex or escalated technology issues on operational or maintenance aspects of system equipment. Install and remove equipment and systems as required.
• Responsible for day-to-day operation of applications and equipment and serve as a customer contact on technical and service-related problems.
• Ensure that all schedules, transmission, on-line systems, and problems are resolved in an accurate and timely manner.
• Serve as a liaison between customers, departments, and within the organization to lead problem resolution and change management processes.
• Determine the most cost-effective repair or resolution to minimize customer downtime.
• How many miles per day will the contractor be driving? Will vary depending on client locations

Skills and Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 to 3+ years of field service experience, specifically in commercial printers, is required.
• Must be able to do extensive traveling via plane and/or car. Must have commercial or large printer experience; Lexmark printer certification is a plus.
• Requires experience working on commercial printers with strong electronics and mechanical aptitude.
• Must have working knowledge of Windows operating systems, networks, databases, and network security concepts and tools, along with Microsoft Office applications including Outlook.
• Experience with multi-platform Windows operating systems is required.
• Should have working knowledge of Rufus,
• Windows Server imaging, photo printing, system connectivity troubleshooting, and Windows configuration.
• Must be able to work independently in a retail environment and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Excellent customer service skills and professionalism are essential.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in both written and verbal form with stakeholders, leadership, partners, team members, other organizations, and customers.
• Requires the ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining strong attention to detail and quality, and the capability to achieve results in a fast-paced, client-driven environment.
