Job Description
Title: HR Project/Program Manager V
Location: Remote/hybrid in Montreal or Toronto
Duration: 7 Months (Possible extension)
This leader will bring structure, rigor, visibility, and connective tissue across workstreams, enabling strategic decision-making and consistent delivery in a complex, fast-moving environment.
Sample Scope
• Transformation Portfolio Management & Governance
o Build and maintain a unified transformation portfolio dashboard capturing milestones, risks, interdependencies, and KPIs across all workstreams.
o Establish portfolio governance routines to ensure consistent visibility, prioritization, and decision-making.
o Ensure alignment between PPL’s operating model evolution, CPO priorities, and enterprise-level initiatives.
o Develop templates, standards, and reporting tools that drive clarity, accountability, and disciplined execution.
• Workstream Leadership Support & Delivery
o Ensure all related PPL Transformation programs are anchored around AI-tech enabled automation opportunities.
o Partner with an external consultancy to program manage efforts to streamline friction points, handoff gaps and work flows between COEs, PBPs, and internal PPL teams.
o Coordinate deliverables, align work outputs, and ensure decisions and designs are integrated into the broader PPL operating model.
o Ensure engagement model recommendations integrate seamlessly across workstreams and other transformation components.
• General Delivery Support
o Partner with workstream leads to define success metrics, structure plans, and manage cross-functional dependencies.
o Run working sessions, sprint planning, retros, and risk/issue resolution for workstreams requiring deeper PM support.
o Proactively identify blockers and drive escalation through the transformation governance model.
• Stakeholder Alignment, Communications & Change Readiness
o Maintain a consistent operating rhythm between the Chief of Staff, PPL LT, COEs, and consultants.
o Support the development of executive updates, business reviews, and communications for senior audiences.
o Track adoption, change readiness, and business impacts across workstreams to ensure smooth integration and sustainable outcomes.
What You Bring
• Proven experience leading large-scale transformation or operating model programs within HR, People, Talent, or related corporate functions.
• Ability to bring order to ambiguity—designing structure, process, and clarity where none exists.
• Exceptional program management, stakeholder alignment, and communication skills.
• Comfort operating at senior levels while also diving into details when needed.
• Experience managing external consulting partners highly preferred.
• Strong analytical and systems-thinking capabilities with an eye for interdependencies and downstream impacts.

- We are seeking a seasoned PPL Transformation Project/Program Manager to support the PPL organization during a period of significant organizational redesign and operating model evolution. This role will partner closely with the CPO’s Chief of Staff to drive execution, cohesion, and alignment across multiple high-stakes transformation workstreams, ensuring we modernize how PPL operates, serves employees, and delivers impact at scale.
