Position Title: Procurement Consulting Lead
Work Location: Cambridge, MA 02142
Assignment Duration: 6 Months
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (8 days a month in office); open to remote for the right candidate
 
Position Summary:

• We are seeking an experienced Procurement Contractor with a primary focus on Consulting to lead strategic sourcing and procurement initiatives, while also supporting other Professional Services categories such as Legal and Corporate Card.
• This role requires a proactive, self-starter who can drive in-depth analysis, collaborate effectively with stakeholders, and deliver actionable recommendations to leadership to optimize processes and ensure compliance across high-visibility projects.

 
Background & Context: As procurement’s influence continues to grow, this position will work closely with functional business leaders to design value-focused category strategies and execute impactful sourcing events.
 
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Sourcing & Category Support

• Support the execution of project initiatives with a proactive, self-directed approach, ensuring timely completion and alignment with business objectives
• Assist with sourcing events, including RFP development, bid analysis, and supplier negotiations.
• Conduct spend analysis, benchmarking, and supplier research to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Perform additional responsibilities as required to support team objectives.

Contract & Supplier Management

• Support contract lifecycle activities: review Statements of Work (SOWs), validate scope, deliverables, timelines, and pricing.
• Track contract renewals, expirations, and troubleshoot issues with POs, invoices, and SOWs.

Compliance & Documentation

• Ensure adherence to company procurement policies and documentation standards.
• Maintain accurate records in procurement systems and track contract status.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Provide independent, hands-on support for cross-functional projects, anticipating needs and resolving issues to maintain momentum
• Assist in advancing project deliverables through proactive task ownership and effective stakeholder collaboration to maintain timelines and objectives.

 
Qualification & Experience

• 4-7 years Intermediate level
• A strong commitment to strategic sourcing, supply management, and operational procurement is essential.
