Overview
The Data Center Sustainability team drives Net Zero strategy, programs, and engagement for data center research, design, and construction. We are seeking an experienced Net Zero Lead to collaborate with internal stakeholders to shape strategy and execute a portfolio of emissions reduction initiatives supporting the organization’s 2030 value chain Net Zero goal. This role partners closely with Data Center Engineering and Construction teams to identify long-term decarbonization pathways and develop, evaluate, and implement GHG reduction solutions.
The ideal candidate is analytical, adaptable, skilled in cross-functional collaboration, and has strong technical expertise in GHG emissions accounting, decarbonization, and data center construction environments.
Responsibilities

Lead cross-functional collaboration to set emissions reduction targets and develop decarbonization strategies for data centers.

Identify, evaluate, and prioritize transformational decarbonization solutions using technical, financial, and supply-chain criteria.

Implement a portfolio of GHG reduction programs aligned with corporate strategy and sustainability goals.

Communicate program progress internally, including developing materials and participating in executive-level communications.

Align with internal stakeholders to overcome challenges and achieve Net Zero program milestones.

Provide hands-on program management from project conception through implementation.

Identify and quantify risks; develop mitigation strategies with subject-matter experts.

Translate complex technical concepts for stakeholders with diverse technical backgrounds.

Ability to travel up to 10%.
Minimum Qualifications

Experience with technical building types and systems impacted by decarbonization.

10+ years of relevant experience in Program Management, Architecture, Sustainability, or Engineering.

3+ years of experience in decarbonization and/or Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs).

Proven experience delivering end-to-end GHG reduction projects within direct operations and/or supply chains.

Experience with carbon reduction and removal strategies.

Experience managing multiple projects and partnering with internal teams, consultants, vendors, and external stakeholders.

Ability to deliver complex projects aligned with large-scale corporate goals through influence and collaboration.

Strong stakeholder influence skills and experience working across organizations and geographies.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and organizational abilities.
Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree in a related field (e.g., MBA, Sustainability Management, Environmental Science).

Experience in decarbonization strategies for large-scale, mission-critical facilities.

Experience with hyperscale or data center design and construction.
