Position Title: Lab Support Senior Technician
Work Location: Thousand Oaks, CA, 91320
Assignment Duration: 1 Year (Possible Extension)
Work Arrangement: 100% Onsite
 
Position Summary
This engaging and fast-paced role is lab-based onsite (M–F). As a Lab Support Technician, you will foster dynamic relationships with scientists to better serve their needs and build relationships with strategic partners to continuously improve and optimize laboratory functions. The Lab Support Technician will own several developmental labs and will be responsible for oversight of instrumentation, lab space functions, and other tasks related to keeping the laboratory spaces safe and organized to support AS staff. May assist with special projects as assigned. Follows all applicable SOPs and procedures.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Work with the Lab Ops team to support lab spaces within the function by ensuring the spaces are safe, compliant, and working efficiently and effectively
• Own several developmental labs, including oversight of instrumentation and general lab space functions
• Foster relationships with scientists and strategic partners to continuously improve laboratory operations
• Keep laboratory spaces safe, organized, and compliant
• May assist with special projects as assigned
• Follow all applicable SOPs and procedures

 
Qualifications & Experience

• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing up to 25 lbs
• Strong communication skills and comfort leading meetings
• Must have reliable personal transportation and live within a 45-minute commute of Thousand Oaks, CA

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree
  OR
• Associate’s degree and 4 years of experience
  OR
• High school diploma / GED and 6 years of experience
