Job Description

Role: Instructional Designer – Mid-Level / Learning & Development
Location: Preferred – Southlake, TX | Secondary – Austin, TX
Work Model: Hybrid (Onsite Monday–Thursday, Remote Fridays)
Duration: 12 Months (Possible Extension)

Position Overview
The Mid-Level Instructional Designer will be responsible for creating, enhancing, and delivering impactful learning solutions tailored to diverse audiences. This role requires strong technical proficiency, consultative collaboration, and the ability to leverage AI and modern learning technologies to drive engagement and performance improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver high-impact learning experiences for a wide variety of learner groups.
  • Utilize AI tools and technologies to enhance instructional design, personalize content, and increase learner engagement.
  • Develop interactive e-learning modules using Adobe Captivate, Articulate Storyline, and other digital authoring tools.
  • Conduct comprehensive audience analyses and needs assessments to align training solutions with organizational objectives.
  • Partner cross-functionally with stakeholders to identify learning gaps, recommend solutions, and implement continuous improvement strategies.
  • Manage training programs or learning projects, including planning, execution, and evaluation.
  • Support Intake and/or Change Management activities related to training initiatives.
  • Facilitate knowledge transfer and promote organizational learning through strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Stay current with emerging learning technologies and methodologies, incorporating innovative approaches to training design and assessment.
 
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of experience designing and delivering learning solutions for diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated proficiency using AI technologies within instructional design workflows.
  • Advanced experience with e-learning authoring tools (Adobe Captivate, Articulate Storyline) and proven success creating interactive learning modules.
  • Experience working with Intake processes and/or Change Management initiatives.
  • Expertise in audience analysis and needs assessment to ensure training effectiveness.
  • Strong program or project management skills, including planning, execution, and evaluation of learning initiatives.
  • Proven ability to work consultatively with stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to rapidly adopt and integrate emerging technologies and innovative learning methods.
