Position Title: Service Rep/Service Officer
Duration: 10+ Months
Working Hours: Assigned rotating shifts- shifts are 7.5 hours/each and can span in timing from 7:30 am- 6:30 pm EST. Resources need to be flexible in working their day within these confines.
Working Location: Mississauga, ON L5N 0B4
Hybrid working model: Currently one day, moving to 2 days in the office/month. Must be able to travel to the office on their start date for training.
Role Mandate:
1 round over teams with the HM and another team member, 45 minutes.

Role Mandate:
- This group receives and processes incoming payments from other entities worldwide electronically.
- The focus of these individuals will be to repair incoming payments by reviewing, analyzing and using various tools to determine if the wire can be routed accurately.
- Officers are measured on Several KPI’s including 2 core ones: Productivity and Accuracy within Operations environment.
- Within company, the team creates a strong team culture within operational environments. This is essential for maintaining efficiency, morale and long term success. Our team can often deal with high pressure situations, tight deadlines, and constant change, so we look for individuals with a positive and resilient attitude.
- This group operates in a true “productivity” area - working with efficiency and speed is the main goal. The team works together to ensure each wire payment in their queue is completed by EOD – as such, they rely on one another to work together and adhere to deadlines. As such, candidates should have a can-do attitude and prioritize team goals. Consistency in performance and attendance is a must to support the team.
- This role operates exclusively as a back-office function- there is no customer facing element to the role. Reps interact with their own teams (based out of Mississauga) as well as a sister site (of other service officers) in Montreal, and will frequently touch base with their manager. This is a large team with around 35 peers between both sites.
- Gaining experience with international wires is a great way to get into the payment industry, opening up opportunities for the future.
- Repairing wire payments.
- Ensuring wire payments are processed with no process errors.
- Receiving payments in differing currencies and manually keying the funds into the correct. currency in alignment with the customer’s bank account.
- Working through their request queue with both speed and accuracy.
- Excellent typing skills- a speed of 50 words/minute at minimum.
- Superb typing accuracy.
- Strong communication skills- a bilingual candidate is an asset, but the work the team completes day to day is with English speaking customers.
- Willingness to learn.
- Strong work ethic.
- Previous financial teller experience is a nice plus.
- Previous service rep experience for a banking client.
- Solid knowledge of general geography- this team handles transfers worldwide, and it can be helpful for candidates to have a good understanding of where countries are located and the currencies they leverage.
- Prior wires experience.
- Experience with problem solving/analysis in a fast paced work environment.
- Post-secondary degree highly preferred- no discipline in specific is required, nor is it required the candidate come from a college or university background.
