Position: Senior Web Developer (Web Platform Team)
Hiring Manager: Kerel Lacy, Associate Engineering Manager – Taco Bell
Department: Web Platform / E-Commerce / Design System
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the Lab application.
• Collaborate with 6–8 engineers (mix of nearshore and onshore), plus design and marketing teams.
• Contribute to e-commerce and design system initiatives.
? Required Skills & Experience
Core Technologies:
• Primary: Next.js, React, JavaScript fundamentals
• Nice to Have: AWS (serverless preferred, ~2 years), Contentful CMS, SEO & ADA compliance best practices
Experience:
• Minimum: 5 years of web development
• Preferred: 7+ years of experience (more likely to advance in interview process)
Non-Negotiable Skills:
1 Strong JavaScript fundamentals
2 Deep experience with React and/or Next.js
3 Ability to handle complex front-end development autonomously
Industry Background:
• Retail or e-commerce experience is a plus but not mandatory.
• Strong technical proficiency is prioritized over domain background.
?? Additional Technical Preferences
• AWS: Experience is a plus, but not required. Strong React/Next.js skills take priority.
• CMS: Experience with any headless CMS acceptable (Contentful preferred).
