Job Description

Title: Manufacturing Operator
Location: Saint-Laurent, QC
Duration: 12 Months
Work Schedule: Evening and Night Shift (Candidates must be available to work any of the shifts.)
Note: Must be fluent in French.
 
Job Summary:
  • Must ensure compliance with quality rules by following GMP regulations, corporate policies and compliance standards during operations.
  • Ensures quality compliance by implementing and maintaining GMP regulations and Corporate policies and conformance standards throughout the operations where applicable.
  • In accordance with established policies, directives, procedures, manufacturing and packaging sheets and in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices, health, safety and environmental prevention measures and the Montreal site's business procedures/processes, the main tasks of the warehouse operator are:
  1. Receive, prepare and supply raw materials, components, bulk and finished products as well as ensure their distribution.
  2. The tasks of the warehouse operator include all tasks of cleaning, receiving, sampling, handling of components, bulk and raw materials and distribution. 
The following tasks are performed in accordance with established policies, directives, procedures, manufacturing and packaging sheets and in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices, health, safety and environmental protection measures and business procedures/processes at the Montreal site.
 
Level 1 (The Level 1 operator will be called upon to perform a grouping of tasks among the following tasks)
  1. Driving Trolleys (Walkie, Gerber, Counterbalanced, Dock Stocker)
  2. Pallet Reversal
  3. Pallet washing
  4. Care and maintenance of work equipment and tools
  5. Unpacking and cleaning of equipment
  6. Handling of goods
  7. Material labeling
  8. Material Packing & Pallet Packing
  9. Verification and identification of equipment
  10. Physical inventory count
  11. Delivery of goods (pallet movement)
  12. Truck loading and unloading.
  13. Truck Checking and Inspection
  14. Movement of waste and recycling
  15. Weight sheet printing
  16. Manual documentation
  17. Execution of basic computer transactions (including VL31N)
  18. Participation in continuous improvement initiatives
  19. Training of colleagues
  20. May be called upon to participate in team committees if required (e.g., HSE, operational excellence, CCM, special projects, job evaluation, etc.)
  21. May be called upon to perform training follow-up tasks (updating training curriculums, associating modules, updating procedures, etc.)
Level 2 (May be called upon to perform Level 1 tasks from time to time) (The Level 2 operator will be required to perform a grouping of tasks among the following tasks)
  1. Driving turret trolleys for regular or Push back pallet racking
  2. Order assembly (Export, Packaging, bulk, Raw materials, MRPO and Subcontractor)
  3. Confirmation of receipt of goods in the system (MIGO)
  4. Order Shipment Confirmation in System
  5. Inventory management
  6. Management of batch statuses
  7. Ordering of non-inventoried equipment
  8. Management and Transaction of Pharmaceutical Waste
  9. Management of returns
  10. External warehouse management
  11. Gas and Chemical Management
  12. Label printing (shelf-pack)
  13. Reconciliation of cycle counts
  14. Execution of more complex computer transactions, including data entry
  15. Material sampling
  16. Verification that the instruments and equipment are adequate for their intended use and that they are within the calibration period.
  17. Verification of the criteria for the acceptability of the analyses, comparison with the established limits
  18. Responsible for stopping any activity and notifying the manager in the event of a problem.
  19. Verification and documentation of the quality of raw materials and/or components during sampling 20. Execution of simple analyses during sampling according to planning tools and business needs.
  20. Training of colleagues
  21. May be called upon to participate in team committees if required (e.g. HSE, operational excellence, CCM, special projects, job evaluation, etc.)
  22. May be called upon to perform training follow-up tasks (updating training curriculums, associating modules, updating procedures, etc.)
Level 3 (May be called upon to perform Level 1 and 2 tasks on occasion)
  1. Coordination of the receipt and shipment of subcontractors' orders, priority management and follow-up execution
  2. Coordination of colleagues' holidays and holidays
  3. Performing Task Observations
  4. Order verification and approval
  5. Inventory control (packaging, shipping, supplies)
  6. Launch of reports and working papers
  7. Inventory adjustment and resolution of discrepancies (investigations)
  8. Running Traces for Destruction Memos
  9. Coordination of cyclical inventories
  10. Management of internal and external orders, subcontractors
  11. Responsible for the management and coordination of the forklift fleet with external suppliers as well as the training of operators.
  12. Implementation and follow-up of forklift inspections for the entire plant. 13. Participation in Performance Evaluations
  13. Mobilization of the task force
  14. Facilitator and resource person in the team
  15. Support and assistance to the team to meet with the objectifs du quart

Required:
  • High school diploma or equivalency
  • Successful completion of theoretical and practical forklift operator training
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license
  • Knowledge of GMP (an asset)
  • 2 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or related field (an asset)
  • Mechanical skills and computer skills
  • Proficient in French
