Job Description

Position Title: Patient Activation Administrative Specialist

Discipline: Administrative Support

Location:
Greenway Clinic – 3202 E Greenway Rd, Suite 1401, Phoenix, AZ 85032
(Contractor may be asked to travel to other offices within the Arizona market)
Assignment Length: 17 weeks (approximately 4 months)

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8-5 PM 
Parking: Free parking available on the east side of the building


Position Overview:

The Patient Activation Administrative Specialist serves as the first point of contact for patients arriving at the clinic. This role is responsible for welcoming patients, assisting with client's digital health tools, and ensuring that each patient is successfully onboarded and activated within the system.

This position plays a critical role in enhancing the patient experience through education, empathy, and effective communication, helping patients confidently engage with their digital healthcare resources.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Greeting & Onboarding: Welcome patients to the clinic, ensuring a positive and friendly first impression.

  • App Activation Support: Verify each patient’s activation status; assist with setup, troubleshooting, and navigation of the One Medical app.

  • Patient Education: Explain app features, benefits, and best practices to encourage confident usage.

  • Coordination & Escalation: Work collaboratively with clinic staff and escalate technical issues to appropriate support teams.

  • Tracking & Feedback: Document patient activation progress and provide feedback to support continuous improvement of digital engagement initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a patient-facing role within a healthcare setting.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage empathetically and clearly with diverse patients.

  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.

  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in collaborative, feedback-driven, and multidisciplinary teams.

  • Proven adaptability — able to stay calm and proactive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

  • Proficiency in computer technology, including:

    • Typing and internet navigation

    • Mobile app usage and troubleshooting

    • Simultaneous use of multiple software systems
