Position Title: Graphic Designer
Work Location: Princeton NJ USA ,8540
Assignment Duration: 2Months
Work Schedule: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday,
PART TIME ROLE - 24 hours per week.
Work Arrangement: All on-site, no remote work available.
 
Position Summary:
 The Graphic Associate is responsible for creating design solutions that have a high visual impact. The role involves listening to internal customers and understanding their needs before developing solutions and executing design decisions.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and production of corporate projects including, but not limited to, advertising, catalogs, brochures, posters, websites, product packaging, exhibitions and displays, corporate communications, corporate identity, product photography and manufacturing of exhibit graphics.
  • The Graphic Associate works to a creative brief agreed with the customer, graphics manager or marketing communication manager.
  • They develop creative ideas and concepts, working within the appropriate approved branding guidelines, to meet the customer’s objectives.
  • The position requires a high level of creativity, attention to detail, knowledge and expertise of current design industry software and a professional approach to time, costs and deadlines.
  • % WEIGHTING OF RESPONSIBILITY 1 ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.
  • 90% · Prepares work to be accomplished by gathering information and materials.
  •  Plans concept by studying information and materials. · Illustrates concept by designing rough layout of art and copy regarding arrangement, size, type size and style, and related aesthetic concepts.
  •  Obtains approval of concept by submitting rough layout for approval.
  • Prepares and packages final layout ensuring bleeds, colors and typography are accurate .
  •  Need to be flexible as the needs of the Company can change drastically and quickly.
  •  At times the Graphics Department is called upon to perform tasks that may not seem to be ‘graphic’ in nature such as assisting in putting together documents or submissions for government or foreign notified bodies, assisting with SOP’s, helping with mailings, putting together training binders, trade show material, etc. · Scanning of photos or documents as necessary

  • Operation of laminator and large format printing equipment.

Qualification & Experience:
  • The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required for his position.
  • Education:
  • BFA in Graphic Design/Digital Media
 Experience:
4-6 years experience
.TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED
  • Proficient in Adobe CS Suite: Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat Pro
  • Proficient in Mac OSX platform, Mac OSX software, and Mac hardware
  • Proficient in PC Windows platform: Windows software and PC hardware
  • Proficient in peripherals: Removable media, Scanners, CD and DVD burners
  • Proficient in Font Management software: Extensis Suitcase Fusion and Font Explorer X
  • Knowledge of Web Design coding and layout: HTML, CSS and web based CMS systems
  • Knowledge of Macromedia Dreamweaver
  • Knowledge of Final Cut Pro
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of SharePoint Server
Background & Context:
  • Part time need. No work on Mon/Friday
  • Equipment: The temp can use our Mac desktop computer
  • Must be experienced with Adobe
  • 4-6 years exp
  • Maternity Leave coverage
  • Standard graphic design – This is print design, traditional media, creating data graphics. Experience creating multi-page brochures
  • Experience with large tradeshow graphics is a big plus
  • Tech: Have to be mac users, Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Graphic design degree is a big plus
  • Must have portfolio with resume
