Description:
Client is seeking a Structural Discipline Specialist to join our Life Sciences team within the PPS Advanced Facilities business unit. This position offers the opportunity to lead the structural design and engineering efforts for a variety of pharmaceutical, industrial, and chemical facilities. The ideal candidate will bring extensive technical expertise, leadership experience, and proficiency in advanced structural design tools to deliver high-quality, innovative solutions.
Responsibilities:

Lead structural design and documentation for projects of varying size and complexity.

Provide discipline leadership ensuring quality, technical excellence, and adherence to project schedules.

Offer technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced engineers and designers.

Support management in resource forecasting, staffing, and workload balancing across offices.

Assist with employee performance evaluations and development feedback.

Participate in project proposals, defining scope, estimating budgets, and planning structural design resources.

Maintain effective communication with internal teams, management, and clients.

Champion data-centric design tools and contribute to enhancing technical competency across the team.
Qualifications:
Required:
-
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.

Professional Engineer (P.E.) License – mandatory, non-negotiable.

Minimum 12+ years of engineering design experience for building structural systems in pharmaceutical, industrial, or chemical facilities.

Proven experience leading structural design for steel and concrete structures.

Advanced proficiency with STAAD / STAAD.Pro.

Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks.

Strong understanding of building and structural codes.

Demonstrated leadership and mentoring capabilities.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Hybrid position – minimum 2 days per week in the Indianapolis office.
