Title: Event Manager
Location: Overland Park, KS, 66251
Duration: 1years Contract
The Events Manager supports the full event marketing process — from planning and logistics to execution, tracking, and post-event reporting. This role plays a key part in driving operational excellence and administrative efficiency for the T-Mobile for Government marketing team. Responsibilities include managing event logistics, Salesforce campaign setup, financial tracking, and reporting — ensuring events are executed seamlessly, on time, and within budget. The Events Manager collaborates cross-functionally with internal stakeholders, external agencies, and senior leadership to deliver events that align with T-Mobile for Government’s brand, business, and communication objectives.

What Does a Typical Day Look Like?
Planning and Strategy
• Support development of event plans, calendars, and tracking documents.
• Assist in gathering data from previous events and compiling performance summaries.
• Coordinate campaign creation in Salesforce to track event leads, contacts, and ROI.
• Align event details with business goals and marketing objectives.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Partner with internal departments (Sales, Legal, Procurement, Finance) to ensure event alignment and compliance.
• Manage communication with external vendors and agencies to coordinate logistics, creative assets, and production.
• Support leadership with regular updates and ensure visibility across internal stakeholders.
Creative Development
• Contribute to creative and experiential ideas that align with the brand.
• Assist in the review and approval process for creative assets and collateral.
• Maintain brand consistency across all event materials and touchpoints.
Execution Oversight
• Manage event logistics including vendor coordination, shipping, registration, and on-site support.
• Track deliverables, deadlines, and task completion using shared project management tools.
• Support on-site event setup and execution as needed.
Administrative & Operational Support
• Create and manage Salesforce campaigns for all events, ensuring data accuracy and lead flow to Sales.
• Manage accounts payable processes: initiate POs, track invoices, and reconcile expenses.
• Maintain and track event budgets, processing monthly updates and reporting variances.
• Use Excel to develop trackers, dashboards, and financial reconciliations.
• Support quarterly and annual reporting on event ROI, lead generation, and budget utilization.
Communication and Reporting
• Draft and distribute internal communications regarding upcoming events, deadlines, and deliverables.
• Compile and deliver post-event recaps with key metrics, outcomes, and recommendations.
• Maintain internal reporting tools and shared drives for event documentation and tracking.
Lead Generation Focus
• Partner with Sales and Marketing Operations to ensure effective lead capture and follow-up workflows.
• Track Salesforce data integrity and campaign performance for accurate event ROI measurement.
Budget Management
• Manage event budgets and maintain spend tracking documentation.
• Support cost optimization by evaluating vendor proposals and identifying efficiencies.
• Reconcile post-event financials and ensure timely invoice processing and reporting.
Preferred Background / Prior Work Experience
Event Operations & Marketing Experience
• Demonstrated experience supporting the planning and execution of corporate or government-focused events.
• Familiarity with both internal and external event programs (tradeshows, conferences, sponsorships).
Administrative & Financial Expertise
• Experience with budget tracking, vendor management, and accounts payable workflows.
• Working knowledge of Salesforce and Microsoft Excel for reporting and campaign tracking.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Proven ability to work across internal departments and with external agencies.
• Experience coordinating with Finance, Procurement, and Sales Operations teams.
Metrics-Driven and Process-Oriented
