Position Title: Quality Assurance Associate
Work Location: 445 Simarano Drive, Marlborough, MA, USA, 01752
Assignment Duration: 05 Months (Extension possible)
Work Schedule: 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week
Work Arrangement: Onsite
Position Summary:
Perform Incoming/In-Process Inspection on mechanical/electrical components using standard inspection equipment and complete associated inspection documentation.
Background & Context:

Must have incoming inspection experience with the ability to read prints and drawings.

Use of height gauges, calipers, surface plate, CMM or vision system skills are a plus.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.

Ability to navigate EBS systems with data entry.
-
Typical day includes Tier 1 meeting, inspection work, EBS updates, accessing drawings through Agile, and coordination with inspectors, production, and engineering.
Key Responsibilities:
-
Perform Incoming/In-Process Inspection on mechanical/electrical components using standard inspection equipment such as Height Gauges, Surface Plates, Verniers, Dial Indicators, Ring/Plug Gauges, Optical Comparators, CMM, OGP etc.

Complete and/or review Incoming, In-Process and Final Inspection documentation. (Component Inspection Folders, checklist, release forms, calibration data records etc.)

Issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCE’s) on Nonconformance’s.

Perform detailed review of Device History Records and labels as part of final inspection/release activities for the finished product.

Inspect field service replaceable units.

Perform requested inspections for Engineering and other departments (First Articles and Courtesy inspections).

Assist with the development of appropriate inspection procedures, checklist, forms and Inspection Instructions.

Maintain QC Activity Collection Plans and other applicable tracking logs.

Prepare incoming inspection reports such as Inspection projects Skip lot and incoming inspection inventory.
Qualification & Experience:
-
Minimum 5 years’ experience as an Incoming Inspector utilizing height gauges, calipers, and surface plate inspections.

CMM or vision system skills are a plus.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.

Ability to navigate EBS systems with data entry.
