Job Description
Title: L&D Development Specialist II
Location: Remote
Duration: 12 Months
Experience Required:
3+ years of experience developing computer-based employee training modules and programs, particularly in Crisis Management, Business Continuity, and Emergency Management.
Key Responsibilities
Needs Analysis

Conduct training needs assessments to identify skill gaps and learning objectives at both individual and organizational levels.
Instructional Design
-
Design and develop e-learning courses, modules, and materials using adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies (e.g., ADDIE).
Content Development
-
Create interactive learning content such as videos, animations, simulations, and quizzes to enhance learner engagement and retention.
LMS Management
-
Implement and manage Learning Management Systems (LMS); ensure courses are properly uploaded, organized, and platform-compatible.
Technical Support & Facilitation
-
Provide technical support for e-learning platforms, facilitate virtual/self-paced training sessions, and offer assistance to learners as needed.
Collaboration

Partner with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in Business Continuity, Crisis Management, and Employee Readiness, as well as instructional designers and stakeholders, to ensure content quality and relevance.
Evaluation & Reporting

Develop assessment tools to measure training effectiveness, collect learner feedback, and calculate training ROI for continuous improvement.
Project Management

Manage project timelines, deliverables, and resources for multiple e-learning initiatives concurrently.
Essential Skills & Qualifications

Technical Proficiency: Expertise in web-based learning platforms, authoring tools, and LMS administration.

Instructional Design Knowledge: Proficient in instructional design models like ADDIE or SAM.

Multimedia Creation: Skilled in developing and editing audio, video, and interactive content for digital delivery.

Communication: Strong written and verbal communication for content development and stakeholder engagement.

Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze learner data and performance metrics to enhance program effectiveness.

Adult Learning Principles: Deep understanding of adult learning theories to design effective and engaging content.

Collaboration: Proven ability to work cross-functionally with SMEs, designers, and leadership teams.

Emerging Technologies (Preferred): Familiarity with data analytics, AI, AR/VR, and other innovative learning solutions.
