Job Summary
User Interface Designer contractors at Client’s collaborate with designers, product owners, product managers, developers, and business stakeholders to create strong design solutions for digital products, services, and channels. Provides expert consultation on the creation of digital experiences that align to client expectations, needs, and ease of access. Participates in design and user research (including usability testing) as a User Interface (UI) team member. Possesses knowledge and understanding of our Design Language System. User Interface Designer II's are encouraged to offer solutions and think creatively about different approaches to expand their skills.
 
Duties & Responsibilities
  • UI Design - Works with other team members to support the enhancement of the Bank’s digital user experience by creating and iterating high-fidelity UI prototypes, visual designs, and digital design assets. Ensures that digital products, services, and channels deliver an efficient, easy-to-use, accessible experience for clients. Leveraging the Design Language System to ensure a consistent brand and approach. Can operate independently once briefed and provided with high-level guidance and necessary resources.
  • User Research - Ensures the success of digital products, service, or channel enhancements by testing new designs prior to implementation. Writes and executes test briefs for design research. Uncovers critical information on user engagement and acceptance through testing activities.
  • Collaboration - Works closely with design team, project teams and other stakeholders in the design and enhancement of interactive experiences throughout the Bank. Participates in practice of critiques and reviews; receiving and giving honest feedback that helps elevate the designed experiences.
 
Skills
  • Digital Design skills including web design, motion, graphic design, and experience with related tools (Adobe illustrator, photoshop, sketch, Figma)
  • Understanding of design patterns and visual design language systems
  • Understanding of the internet, web application development, and system design
  • Familiarity with Content management systems (e.g., Adobe Experience Manager, Contentful)
  • Modern Front-end development practices; HTML, CSS, JavaScript, sematic markup, WCAG AA standards; Responsive Web Design
 
Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree
