Location: Atlanta, GA - Remote when not traveling
Duration: 3 months
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM (40 hours/week)
Travel: ~75% travel (mostly East Coast, 1 site on West Coast)
Job Overview
We are seeking a Systems Engineer III to provide post-launch onsite testing support for material handling equipment (MHE). This role requires significant travel to fulfillment centers, sort centers, and same-day delivery stations to conduct system validation, testing, and performance analysis. The engineer will collaborate closely with launch and post-launch support teams, ensuring operational excellence and capacity commitments are met.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide onsite testing support for newly launched sites (~75% travel).
- Conduct post-launch validation and stress testing of installed systems.
- Coordinate with customers and internal teams on testing results and follow-up actions.
- Analyze system throughput, performance, and capacity impacts.
- Provide actionable feedback and vendor punch lists to drive improvements.
- Troubleshoot complex system issues across servers, operating systems, and networks.
- Drive efficiency through automation and scalable operational workflows.
- Create documentation, metrics, and processes to support continuous improvement.
Core Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field (required).
- 5–7 years of experience in testing programs, validation, and automation.
- Prior Material Handling Equipment (MHE) experience (required).
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with automation tools and processes.
- Solid understanding of standard internet protocols (Ethernet, ARP, IP, ICMP, UDP, TCP, SSL, DNS, HTTP, etc.).
- Relentless passion for frugality and innovative problem-solving.
- Strong project management and analytical skills.
- Ability to recognize and adopt best practices in documentation, testing, and operational support.
- Experience developing metrics to measure performance and efficiency.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced, travel-heavy environment.
