Job Description
Position Title: Risk Framework Enhancement Consultant
Duration: 6 months (Possibility of Extension/Possibility of conversion to FTE)
Working hours: 9am-5am EST
Working Location: Toronto, ON M5B 2M8 (Hybrid work: 3-4 days in office weekly)
Role Mandate:
Procurement 1B is responsible for oversight of the unit's governance, risk, compliance, and internal controls activities. As Procurement is engaging and onboarding the RFE work, Procurement 1B is assigned for multiple tasks, such as conducting readiness assessment and implementation of the requirements. To deliver Procurement’s commitment in a timely manner, Procurement 1B requires a resource to execute relevant activities. This contractor will spend full time performing the tasks (and also support the manager who is accountable for deliverables). The position will play a key role in supporting initiatives related to the Risk Framework Enhancement Program.
Team Structure:
The selected candidate will be working in a collaborative environment within a small but very supportive team, overseeing the Risk Enhancement Framework (REF) project and MRA regulatory requirements.

- Reviewing and updating policies and procedures.
- Developing reporting metrics and training materials.
- Assisting with performance management and stakeholder management.
- Other project and compliance requirements as assigned.
- Project Management experience (approx. 5 years).
- Risk management experience.
- Compliance and regulatory environment experience.
- Banking/FI experience.
- Procurement experience.
- Internal audit controls exposure.
- PMP is considered an asset (including those in progress).
