Position Title: Engineer Sr, Manufacturing
Work Location: Plymouth MN USA 55442
Assignment Duration: 12 months
Schedule: 8 AM to 5 PM

Position Summary: Independently or lead a project team to identify, scope, plan and execute medium-sized projects. Communicate project progress and escalate issues to management in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:

• Understands the business needs and has a thorough knowledge of the customer when developing a project scope.
• Incorporates business foresight of emerging technological trends.
• Leads development of Project Charter and documents the initial requirements that satisfy the stakeholder’s needs and expectations.
• Establishes engineering project objectives and technical criteria for evaluating project results and activities of the project team.
• Monitors and controls project work to meet the performance objectives defined in the project plan.
• Focuses on cost and milestone achievement to optimize resource utilization.
• Identifies areas of risk and mitigates risks through early risk assessments and implementation of fallback / mitigation strategies.
• Identify, develop, and gather the resources to complete the project.
• This may include developing project schedules, budgets and forecasts, and selecting materials, equipment, project staff, and external contractors.
• Uses established PM tools and techniques to stay within authorized budget limits and achieve the overall project and organizational objectives.
• Understand Project Management tools and methodologies.
• Direct the work of project team members, set goals and objectives, monitor progress on tasks. May have direct reports.
• Conduct meetings and prepare reports to communicate the status of the project.
• Set priorities, allocate tasks, and coordinate project staff to meet project targets and milestones.
• Perform financial analysis to evaluate savings potential, track performance and inform decision making  
• Prepares reports, publishes, and makes presentations to communicate findings.
• Develop qualitative insights from reports to inform business decisions
