Title: Power BI Developer
Duration: 1 year with a potential for extension

Hybrid Model: In-Office (Monday, Tuesday & Thursday), Remote (Wednesday & Friday)
About the Role
Seeking a Power BI Developer who can go beyond building visuals and deliver end-to-end reporting solutions for complex financial environments. This role requires strong expertise in data modeling, DAX, and performance optimization, as well as the ability to handle dynamic data challenges and integrate multiple data sources.
Key Responsibilities

Design and implement optimized data models in Power BI using star schema principles, handling large datasets and frequently changing dimensions.

Develop advanced DAX measures for complex financial calculations such as rolling forecasts, variance analysis, and dynamic time intelligence.

Build paginated reports for print-ready financial statements and regulatory reporting.

Implement Row-Level Security (RLS) for multi-entity and multi-region reporting scenarios.

Use Power Query (M) to transform and cleanse data from multiple sources, including ERP systems (Oracle, SAP), BPC, and Excel.

Write and optimize SQL queries in Azure Databricks to validate and prepare data for reporting.

Apply performance tuning techniques such as aggregations, incremental refresh, and query folding to ensure efficient report rendering.

Collaborate with finance stakeholders to translate complex business requirements into scalable Power BI solutions.

Troubleshoot data integrity issues and work closely with data engineering teams to resolve upstream challenges.

Stay current with Power BI and Azure ecosystem features to continuously improve reporting capabilities.
Qualifications

5+ years of hands-on Power BI development experience, including data modeling and DAX (not just front-end visuals).

Proven ability to design efficient models and optimize performance for large-scale financial reporting.

Strong SQL skills; experience with Azure Databricks or similar platforms is a plus.

Experience with paginated reports and enterprise-level reporting solutions.

Familiarity with financial reporting processes and handling dynamic hierarchies/dimensions.

Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.

Preferred: Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300); other relevant certifications such as Azure Enterprise Data Analyst Associate (DP-500) or SQL/BI certifications are a plus.
