Job Description

Position Title: Metals Vault Operator
Duration: 12 months
Location: Toronto, ON M5X 1A9
Hours of Operation: M-F; 8 AM to 4 PM ( overtime may be required )


Job Description:
  • The incumbent will be responsible for facilitating the day-to-day vault operations and transactions for the Bank's Precious Metals Vault in Toronto, Ontario.
  • Working closely with the Bank's Sr. Metals Vault Operator, they will deal with the physical and non-physical movements within the vault operations.
  • Further, the incumbent will be responsible for assistance to ad hoc projects determined necessary by the Bank's Metals Vault Supervisor.
General Description:
  • Operate in the functional areas of receiving, shipping, secure storage/distribution of precious metals, and logistics.
  • Interface with other business units to effectively implement strategies and work towards business objectives.
  • Responsible for completing physical movements and staging of incoming and outgoing product.
  • Work within company policies and operating procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with the Bank's health and safety policies and government regulations
  • Conducting regular audits and maintaining the integrity of controls.
  • Adhere to security, policies, and procedures to support the ongoing security standards of the business, as well as supporting changes to operating procedures.
  • Comply and assist in all security-related investigations.
  • Provide inventory control management and perform daily vault balancing routines.
  • Adhere to the PM storage vault standard operating procedures, including end-of-day balancing processes and reconciliation.
  • Work with all levels of Management to complete the given directives of the Company.
Must Haves:
  • Physically able to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Previous logistic experience desired.
  • Knowledge of standard desktop applications (i.e. Excel, etc.) and department systems and applications.
  • High analytical skills for reporting, balancing, and reconciliation.
  • General knowledge of health and safety guidelines.
  • Customer service driven.
  • Quality orientation.
Education:
  • Minimum High School Diploma.

  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to be organized in a fast-paced environment with multiple simultaneous and conflicting requests, with a focus on detail and accuracy.

Nice to Haves:
  • Previous banking experience.
