Job Description

Job Title: Construction Management Professional – Senior
Duration: 12 months Contract Role (W-2)
Location: Dunseith, ND (Onsite, no remote option)


Position Summary:

The Construction Management Professional – Senior will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of a long-term federal facilities project. This role requires strong leadership in budget development, scheduling, stakeholder engagement, and integration of complex project requirements. The successful candidate will demonstrate proven expertise in managing interdisciplinary teams, working within government procedural requirements, and ensuring smooth project execution from initiation through substantial completion.

This position includes a $3,000/month living allowance, competitive hourly compensation, and the potential for permanent conversion after six months of high performance.


Reporting Relationship:

The Construction Management Professional – Senior will report directly to the Project Manager.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain multi-year project management plans, budgets, and funding strategies.

  • Oversee scheduling and coordinate project interactions within existing and occupied facilities.

  • Lead and manage interdisciplinary teams of professionals and supporting staff.

  • Integrate competing/conflicting project requirements into effective execution plans.

  • Ensure compliance with federal and local procedural, review, and approval requirements for construction projects.

  • Support the delivery of federal government office building projects in alignment with client and regulatory standards.


Background Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Business Management, or Construction Management from an accredited institution OR a minimum of 10 years of construction management experience in lieu of a degree.

  • Demonstrated experience leading large, complex construction projects.

  • Familiarity with federal and government building projects and their approval processes.

  • Strong financial management skills, including budgeting and cost control.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and team coordination abilities.


Desired Qualifications:

  • PMP Certification or equivalent project management credential.

  • Experience working on GSA (General Services Administration) or other federal projects.

  • Knowledge of multi-phase, long-duration construction programs.

  • Proven ability to manage stakeholders and competing priorities effectively.
