Role Name: Organizational Development Consultant
Location: Columbia, SC 29223
Work Environment: Partially Onsite (onsite - Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and as needed.?)
Schedule: Mon to Fri, 40 hr per week
Contract length: 12 months assignment with possible conversion
Job Summary:
Duties/About the role:
Develops and implements programs to align work force and key business initiatives through the use of organizational development strategies. Consults with management to identify, design/develop, and implement organizational development programs and processes. Assesses internal and external environment, drives organizational alignment initiatives, and leads transformation efforts.
Day to Day:

Job Requirements:
Required Education: Bachelor's Degree - any major.
Required Work Experience: 3 years experience in organizational development, and/or consulting.
Preferred Education: Bachelor's degree-Organizational Development, Human Resources, Training, or related field.Days Per Week
Preferred Experience: Previous experience in a strategic OD, HR or compensation role:
The idea candidate should have:
• Deep understanding of HR policies, practices, and compensation principles, including incentive design and pay equity.
• Experience translating compensation data into strategic recommendations that support talent and organizational goals.
• Ability to influence and lead through change in complex environments, especially in areas of workforce transformation. • Strong collaboration skills
• Ability to interpret and leverage complex data to identify organizational needs and inform strategic decision making.
• Proven ability to influence and lead through change in complex environments.
• Exceptional communication skills—both written and verbal.
• Demonstrate executive presence with the ability to foster engagement and communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable to shifting priorities.
• Business-savvy with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset. Preferred: Individual should have BP experience with a proven ability to proactively help the business navigate tough and complex situations and provide creative people solutions and recommendations that help move the business forward.

Job Summary:

Day to Day:
- 20% Consults with management in the identification, development, and implementation of organizational development programs and processes. Evaluates business initiatives to determine appropriate organizational effectiveness interventions needed to meet organizational goals.
- 20% Identifies data needs, data sources, data collection tools, performance targets/benchmarks, and assessment methodologies. Manages related assessment information databases.
- 20% Facilitates the implementation of organizational effectiveness interventions. Assists management in developing effective strategic planning outcomes assessment techniques. Develops human resources solutions by collecting and analyzing data/information and recommending courses of action.
- 20% Identifies and develops/creates a career path and leadership development program to ensure all employees, leaders, and potential leaders have the necessary skills to succeed. Acts as change agent providing the support and mechanism to implement major changes to the operations of the organization.
- 10% Participates in the identification and development of a competency model to be used in various organizational programs. Develops or aligns performance management program with key organizational goals. Confers with management to gain knowledge of specific work situations requiring employees to better understand changes in policies, procedures, regulations, and technologies.
- 5% Coordinates both internal and external resources to provide education and learning opportunities that align with strategic needs of the division and organization. Keeps abreast of the latest organizational development and business trends, tools, and techniques.
- 5% Partners with HR counterparts to support/guide the development, implementation, and follow-up actions associated with succession planning and talent reviews. Mentors and coaches leaders and employees in the areas of organizational development.
