Job Title: Business Systems Data Analyst V
Duration: 06 months
Location: Remote (PST preferred)
Summary:
  • We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Business Systems Data Analyst on a contract basis to join our IDC Data Science team. The primary focus of this role is to support the design, development, and maintenance of a canonical data model for core data elements within IDC. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently as a self-starter.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze business requirements related to core data elements in IDC.
  • Support the design and implementation of a canonical data model that standardizes and harmonizes core data elements across systems.
  • Perform detailed data analysis to identify data quality issues, inconsistencies, and opportunities for data improvement.
  • Document data definitions, data flows, and data relationships to ensure clarity and alignment across stakeholders.
  • Communicate findings, recommendations, and project status effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Work proactively to identify gaps and propose solutions to improve data governance and data management practices.
  • Assist in the development of data validation and monitoring processes to ensure ongoing data integrity.
  • Act as a liaison between business units, data engineering, and data governance teams to facilitate smooth data integration and usage.
Required Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of strong experience in data analysis, data modeling, or related fields.
  • Proven ability to work with complex data sets and translate business needs into technical requirements.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Self-starter with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
  • Familiarity with data governance concepts and canonical data modeling is a plus.
  • Experience with data tools and platforms commonly used in IDC or similar environments is preferred.
