Job Description:
The Sr. Solutions Architect is responsible for strategically designing and implementing medium to highly complex technology solutions that align with enterprise and domain architecture guidelines. This role plays a critical part in ensuring scalable, secure, and maintainable systems that meet business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Architecture & Design
• Design and implement new architecture patterns for complex business and technology needs
• Provide end-to-end architecture oversight to ensure consistency with enterprise standards
• Lead quality initiatives focused on scalability, maintainability, security, and extensibility
• Identify and resolve issues between architecture and vendor solutions
• Formulate implementation and migration strategies
Technical Leadership
• Offer expertise in enterprise architecture, software development, data integration, and technical frameworks
• Present technical concepts to both large and small audiences with clarity and confidence
• Define strategies for networking, server platforms, desktop services, and security
• Lead planning and orientation sessions with IT project managers
Information Systems Integration
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of discrete and integrated systems
• Resolve escalated issues and identify root causes
• Integrate new and enhanced systems into enterprise processes
• Partner with technical experts to create solutions that meet business needs
Foundational Architecture
• Apply foundational architecture principles across the enterprise
• Utilize TOGAF framework and relevant tools
• Guide development teams on standards and infrastructure design
• Evaluate hardware, software, and tools for architectural fit
• Monitor emerging trends and assess their impact
System Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Manage tasks across all SDLC phases: requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, and decommission
• Provide accurate handoffs and resolve transition issues
• Develop shared tools and documentation standards
• Mentor others and contribute to methodology improvements
Strategic Planning & Impact Analysis
• Assess system development impacts across architecture components and business processes
• Conceptualize platform changes due to acquisitions or enterprise-wide implementations
• Integrate system components and conduct risk evaluations
Innovation & Continuous Improvement
• Apply original thinking to improve methods, processes, and services
• Evaluate ROI of innovative solutions
• Encourage open-mindedness and experimentation
• Identify patterns and trends to generate forward-thinking solutions
Qualifications:
Required
• High school diploma/GED with 10 years of experience, or Associate's/Bachelor's degree
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience
• Healthcare provider industry experience
• Proven experience in solution architecture during divestitures and acquisitions
• Strong stakeholder alignment and technology harmonization skills
• Ability to define and implement architecture standards and governance frameworks
• Experience in AI roadmap development in healthcare (generative AI, ML, NLP)
Preferred
• 2+ years of leadership or management experience
• Certifications in leading EMR platforms
