Position Title: Research Associate II - iPSc culture
Work Location: South San Francisco, CA, USA, 94080
Assignment Duration: 12 Months

Position Summary:
The Cell Therapy Department seeks a Research Associate to support ongoing activities by maintaining and differentiating iPSCs in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Primary responsibility will be to execute protocols to maintain and differentiate induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs)
• Other activities will include support for Cell Therapy related activities (e.g. cell differentiation, molecular biology analytics)
• Perform analytical workflows encompassing but not limited to gene-based assays and cell-based assays
• Data acquisition, analysis, interpretation and communication of findings in internal scientific meetings
• Maintain compliance with lab safety, training and documentation

Qualification & Experience:

• BS/MS in Stem Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Genetics or a related discipline
• Strong background in sterile aseptic mammalian cell culture techniques and experience working with human iPSCs
• Technical expertise in some of the following areas: molecular assays (NGS, RT-PCR, dd-PCR), iPSc differentiation, cell based functional assays, image acquisition/analysis, flow cytometry
• Proven ability to multitask, collaborate and communicate effectively
• Preferred: Experience with single cell cloning and stem cell differentiation
• Preferred: Experience with delivery of genome engineering systems to iPSCs
• Preferred: Prior industry work experience
• Preferred: Experience using software for flow cytometry analysis, electronic lab notebook and data visualization. Some examples include: FlowJo, Benchling, Spotfire, GraphPad Prism, Geneious, Snapgene etc.
