Job Title: Lab Technician
Duration: 5 Months
Location: Bridgewater, NJ 08807
 
Qualifications:

• 0–2 years of demonstrated laboratory experience.
• Computer literate in Microsoft Office products — Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to understand and follow experimental protocols, make good observations, pay attention to details, and record detailed notes/data.
• Ability to communicate well in spoken and written English.
• Comfortable and able to work with chemicals while following safe laboratory practices/protocols.
• The ability to stand while working in the laboratory throughout most of the day.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in a technical field.

 
Responsibilities:

• Under the supervision of a Senior Technician or Chemist, the technician will be expected to perform the following functions with a high level of initiative and independence:
• Formulation and synthesis of polymers.
• Testing of adhesives.
• Evaluate, collect, and record data.
• Participates in organizing and performing experiments using established procedures, while summarizing and reporting results in a laboratory notebook.
• Uses a computer to enter data/information, including charts and tables, for communication of project results/details.
• Involved in making adhesives from chemical ingredients.
• Prepares coated samples using lab coating equipment and tests performance characteristics of coated substrates using established procedures.
