Job Title: Wiring Technician
Location: Irvine, CA 92614
Duration: 05 months (Possibility of Extension)

Shift: First Shift (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM) | Flexibility to start as early as 6:00 AM


Position Overview:
The Wiring Technician is a critical contributor in a mission that truly represents a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to join a company that is making significant investments in establishing US manufacturing, expanding internationally, and delivering a consistent cadence of product innovations to the market and investing in its people. This is an 8-hour first shift position.

The successful candidate will be responsible for panel, enclosure, and field wiring of OEM automated machinery. This individual will be familiar with electrical-controls schematics and wiring diagrams and have experience utilizing various tools such as wire cutters, wire strippers, cable slitters, and crimping tools insulated and non-insulated ring terminals, ferrules, etc. Minimal training to educate the individual on our schematic layout expected. This position requires attention to detail, quality focused, technical ability, and the willingness to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Follow all policies and procedures including safety and quality standards.
  • Perform panel, enclosure, and field wiring. These tasks must be completed under minimal supervision.
  • Excellent attention to detail, good organization, and capable of working independently with minimal instruction.
  • Maintain inventory when adding or removing components.
  • Keep on track of the project schedule, being sure to communicate problems or concerns.
  • Labeling all wires, cables, and components to be sure there is proper traceability to and from any components.
  • Direct hands-on involvement in installation, startup, qualification, and debugging of new automation, including wiring and electrical troubleshooting.
  • Ensure compliance with safety rules, quality policies, and employee guidelines.
  • This is a hands-on role, requiring the candidate to take on project work assigned as an individual contributor, or as a participant on cross-functional teams.
Education and Experience:
Minimum Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • At least 1–3 years of experience working in an OEM environment, ideally consisting of wiring and crimping
  • Basic computer skills and use of MS Office applications
  • Written and verbal English communication skills
Preferred Skills and Competencies:
  • Experience wiring OEM equipment
  • Familiar with electrical-controls schematics and wiring diagrams
  • Attention to detail, quality focused, and meticulous
  • Familiar with typical panel components including power distribution, power supplies, motor/servo drives, circuit protection, PLCs, terminal blocks, and networking
  • Familiar with typical actuators on automated equipment including motors, motors on lead screw, etc.
  • Familiar with typical sensors on automated equipment including pressure switches, inductive sensors, photoelectric sensors, reed switches, and load cells
Physical Requirements (if applicable):
  • Required to stand for at least 75% of working time per shift
  • Required to work at a stationary position for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs occasionally, 5–20 lbs frequently
  • Ability to work in tight spaces
