Job Description

Title: Sr. Technical Writer
Duration: 12 Months
Location: Remote
 
Position Overview:
Client UX team is seeking a Senior Technical Writer. This role will be responsible for the creation, maintenance, and management of UX design specification documentation for one of client's platforms. A strong background in technical writing is must.
This is a highly collaborative role where you’ll partner with multiple cross-functional teams distributed across the country and globally. You’ll use your editorial mastery to ensure all documentation content adheres to requirements. You're able to receive critical feedback and communicate effectively even amongst strong opinions.
You will use your organization and positive communication skills to working strategically with other team leaders and members across the organization. You have a passion for putting our customers’ needs first. 
 
Responsibilities: 
  • Create technical microcopy, such as string and screen IDs, within design files.
  • Manage UX strings in support of translation processes.
  • Write clear and concise design/technical documentation in support of our regulatory and quality processes (e.g. graphical requirements specifications).
  • Responsible for documentation submissions into Product Lifecyle Management (PLM) systems.
  • Lead process and tool improvements related to technical documentation within your program.
  • Collaborate effectively and frequently with cross-functional stakeholders within and outside of UX, leading the revision process, and any deadlines.
 
Education and Experience:
  • BA or BS in a discipline related to Technical Writing and the English language (e.g. Business Communications, English), or 5–7 years related experience in content creation for a medical device manufacturer and/or equivalent combination of education or experience.
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience writing/editing scientific/medical material in the medical device industry.
  • Healthcare, life sciences, or diabetes experience preferred.
  • Must have ability to understand medical, clinical, and technical aspects of diabetes management and drug delivery products.

  • Immense flexibility: driving a focused approach while being able to pivot in a growing, fast-moving organization.
 
To work with our tools:
  • Proficiency with Microsoft tools and applications; including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with quality management systems like Arena, Polarian, or similar (preferred).
  • Proficiency with UX and planning tools such as Figma, Miro,Jira, Confluence, and Smartsheet (preferred).
