Title: Microbiology Tech III
Location: Columbus, OH 43219
Duration: 4+ Months (If the candidate works out there can be extensions and possibility of full-time offer should a full-time position open)
Work Arrangement: Some travel between the main site and the Columbus Plant for sample collection/testing. About a 15–20-minute drive.
 
Position Summary:
Perform microbiology-related tasks to support lab operations and ensure quality control.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Media making tasks
• Perform audits on equipment
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment
• Sterilization of lab equipment
• Test environmental samples; Swab samples and water samples
• Glassware sterilization
• Autoclave usage
• Preventative maintenance on equipment
• Auditing on equipment
• Testing samples; powder, liquid, and raw ingredients

 
Qualification & Experience:

• Excellent communication and writing skills
• 1 year in Micro lab (preferred), or lab experience (If they have lab experience they can be a fresh grad)
• Plating
• Micro research is a plus
• Detail oriented
• Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices
• Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Biology, or any Science with Micro experience. Master’s degree wouldn’t be considered overqualified.
