Job Summary:
- Instrument Maintenance Technician responsibilities include the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of manufacturing, production, and test equipment.
- This includes performing PMs and inspections on a variety of automated and semi-automated equipment, machine assembly/disassembly, and consulting with other experienced technicians when necessary to minimize downtime.
- Instrument Maintenance Technicians will also be required to utilize company and industry best practices to ensure a safe working environment and effectively communicate with supported manufacturing areas to ensure production goals are met.
- Maintain and repair production and test equipment by work instructions, operating procedures, operations manuals, and manufacturer specifications.
- Perform Preventive Maintenance (PM) routines and inspections.
- Troubleshoot electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical issues to resolve problems with minimal downtime.
- Complete maintenance/inspection logs, work orders, and other related paperwork.
- Maintains an accurate record of all activities and complies with cGMP/QS requirements.
- Ability to communicate and interact with supported departments to ensure satisfactory performance of equipment, instruments, and systems. procedures and other written instructions.
- Respond effectively to emergencies and provide after-hours support as needed.
- Utilize LOTO and follow all specific safe work practices.
- Disassemble equipment and remove/replace defective parts.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with applicable procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Ability to use root cause analysis and tools to promote continuous improvement.
- Provide support to manufacturing and engineering services during routine and shutdown maintenance work.
- STEM Field Experience.
- 1-3 years related experience.
- Possess a basic understanding of industrial process instrumentation, automation, and equipment maintenance.
- Use of electrical and mechanical test equipment; for example, digital voltmeter, precision weight scale, ISO calibrator, etc.
- Willingness to work in a team environment and assume additional or new responsibilities regularly.
- Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Effectively utilize hand tools, such as screwdrivers and wrenches, and possess a
mechanical aptitude. - Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic schematics.
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electro-mechanical, pneumatic, electronic equipment, and instrumentation, and take corrective action.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
- Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with the Google suite of productivity programs and SAP.
Must-Haves:
- Must be able to work flexible hours.
- Associate's Degree.
