Job Title: Sr. Software Asset Management Analyst
Location: 100% Remote
Duration: 12+ Months

Duties:
Sr System Analyst on the Software Asset Management team within client’s technology is responsible for handling software requisition, perform extensive Excel analysis, review software license agreements, and maintaining license compliance and audit readiness.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Managing and resolving tickets in the ServiceNow queue efficiently and effectively while embracing a customer-focused mindset.
  • Contributes to the creation and maintenance of knowledge base articles and documentation.
  • Ensure Software Asset Management policies and processes are followed by end users and effective software lifecycle management.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to support license renewals, resolve software license risk, and perform mitigating actions.
  • Retrieve, normalize, and present large data sets in a format that is immediately useful to answering specific questions and provide actionable insights.
  • Perform ad-hoc analyses using advanced Excel functions from multiple data sources to drive business decisions on software usage and license optimization opportunities.
  • Make business decisions that directly impact software expenses and license compliance.
  • Deliver assigned operational tasks, reports, data sets and analysis insights to support Operational reviews.
  • Reviews and interprets software license agreements and identify rules, obligations, and license expectations to ensure compliance with all software license agreements and software usage.
  • Displays both breadth and depth of knowledge regarding functional and technical issues.
  • Familiarity with software license management terms and experience in managing governance for various license vendors (e.g. Oracle, IBM, Microsoft) Leads large, complex analysis efforts for initiatives.
 
Required skills:
  • 5+ years professional experience in Software Asset Management.
  • 2+ years of audit/compliance experience
  • Professional certifications (i.e. CSAM)
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot tables, functions/formulas, and data visualization tools) and comfortable working with large, complex data sets.
  • Understanding of how to query and structure data to assist with data driven decisions and troubleshooting.
  • Experience to display complex quantitative data in a simple, intuitive format and to present findings in a clear and concise manner to leadership.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to define, measure and analyze processes to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Ability to influence others without direct authority and with a focus on creating buy-in Recognizes the importance of teamwork to achieve objectives.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, adapts to change quickly and easily, and able to work under pressure.
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow and FlextNet Manager Suite (FNMS), JIRA, Coupa, SharePoint preferred.
