Job Description

Position Title: Business Analyst (Finance Technology AI)
Location: Remote (PST hours)
Duration: 6 Months (possibility of extension)

Role Summary:
The Finance Engineering Technology group will play a crucial role in developing and delivering AI Solutions, Technology Governance and integrations for the Finance department. We are looking for a Business Analyst who can create content that can effectively communicate our Vision, create visuals to depict the roadmap related to Finance technology initiatives. This role will collaborate closely with the Finance Technology team, including experts in AI implementation and ERP (e.g., SAP) governance, to create compelling narratives that inform, engage, and persuade a variety of audiences, including senior leadership, stakeholders, and internal teams. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional storytelling skills, strong visual design expertise, and a solid understanding of finance and technology concepts.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Presentation Development:
    • Collaborate with Finance Technology team members to understand project objectives, key messages, and target audiences.
    • Develop visually engaging and informative presentations using PowerPoint (and other presentation tools as needed) to communicate complex financial technology concepts, including AI initiatives, ERP governance (such as SAP), and other technology projects.
    • Create compelling narratives and storylines that effectively convey the value and impact of finance technology initiatives.
    • Ensure presentations are clear, concise, and tailored to the specific needs of different audiences.
    • Maintain and update existing presentations to reflect the latest information and branding guidelines.
       
  • Content Creation and Storytelling:
    • Transform technical data and financial information into easily understandable and visually appealing formats, including charts, graphs, and infographics.
    • Develop presentation content that highlights key achievements, progress updates, and strategic insights.
    • Craft compelling narratives that articulate the business value, benefits, and ROI of finance technology projects.
    • Incorporate storytelling techniques to enhance audience engagement and message retention.
       
  • Visual Design and Branding:
    • Apply strong visual design principles to create professional, polished, and impactful presentations.
    • Ensure all presentations adhere to company branding guidelines and maintain a consistent visual identity.
    • Utilize advanced PowerPoint features and design tools to create dynamic and engaging presentations.
    • Select appropriate imagery, color palettes, and typography to enhance the visual appeal and clarity of presentations.
       
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Technology, and Communications, to gather information and ensure alignment of messaging.
    • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization, including senior executives.
    • Provide guidance and support to team members on presentation best practices.
    • Manage feedback and incorporate revisions to presentations in a timely and efficient manner.
       
  • Subject Matter Expertise:
    • Develop a strong understanding of the Finance Technology department's initiatives, including AI implementation strategies, ERP governance frameworks (e.g., SAP), and other relevant technology projects.
    • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in presentation design and storytelling.
    • Continuously seek opportunities to improve presentation skills and knowledge of finance and technology concepts.
  Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Communications, Marketing, Design, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in developing and delivering presentations, preferably in a finance, technology, or corporate environment.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, including advanced features, templates, and design tools.
  • Strong understanding of financial concepts and terminology.
  • Excellent visual design skills, including knowledge of layout, typography, color theory, and data visualization.
  • Exceptional storytelling and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex information into clear and compelling narratives.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and AI concepts is desirable.
  Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with any presentation software (e.g. Powerpoint).
  • Knowledge of graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator).
  • Experience in the technology industry, particularly in Finance technology.
  • Certification or training in presentation design or visual communication.
