Job Title: Catering Local Field Operator / Catering Captain
Duration: 6 Months - Potential for extension possible
Location: San Francisco, CA
Other requirements • Car • Within driving distance of San Francisco metro area
Work Schedule:
• Flexible work setup: primarily remote with occasional in-person tasks.
• Fieldwork includes traveling to restaurants and client sites for large catering orders.
• Flexible with occasional in-person requirements.
• Travel expenses for local travel (e.g., to restaurants or client locations) will be reimbursed.
• Primary Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with office admins or corporate clients to place large catering orders.
• Recommend restaurants, place orders, and oversee deliveries to ensure quality and timeliness.
• Assist with onsite setup for large orders (e.g., corporate meetings/events).
• Handle operational tasks like troubleshooting last-minute order changes.
Required Skills:
• Customer Service: Strong client-facing skills to manage corporate accounts.
• Operations & Problem-Solving: Ability to manage logistics and resolve issues in real-time.
• Proactivity & Ownership: Willingness to take initiative, such as managing last-minute order changes or ensuring delivery quality.
• Preferred Background:
• Experience in catering, restaurant management, or event planning is a plus.
• Candidates with strong ownership and hands-on experience in customer-facing roles are ideal.
• Tools/Technical Skills:
• Basic Excel proficiency.
• No specific platform expertise is required; training will be provided.
• Experience Level:
• 3–4 years of relevant experience preferred.
Role Overview: This role will provide local support for Catering Golden Market orders and support the ordering and delivery experience for our clients.
They will provide 1) a concierge order experience 2) merchant order management and rapid mx acquisition and 3) in person delivery support.
Impact: This role will be responsible for the execution and success of our highest priority orders.
They will support our corporate catering clients and their order needs to ensure we hit our quarterly GOV goals. Level: TBD

Key Responsibilities
- Concierge order experience (EOQ: ~25 orders per week per person)
- Coordinate orders with clients
- Build catering orders for external approval
- Place orders and support order adjustments
- Merchant order management and rapid acquisition (EOQ: ~15 orders per week per person)
- Coordinate orders with merchants that fall outside the scope of our existing product
- Work with mx to ensure orders meet clients needs (e.g. enough food)
- Enable catering orders from merchants not previously onboarded into our LO program Delivery Support (EOQ: ~5 orders per week per person)
- Client facing representative of company and accompany Dashers to high stakes orders to ensure things go smoothly
- Provide support above and beyond the scope of dashers (e.g. purchase utensils last minute)
- Support training and onboarding new dashers into our catering program Core
- Client facing experience (restaurant, catering, or account management experience is a plus)
- Ability to solve problems on the fly and get to a desired outcome
- Strong work ethic, flexible schedule, and a bias towards action
- Strong written and communication skills
- Detail oriented with an eye for design (e.g. order set up and menu presentation)
