Job Title: IT Infrastructure Project Manager
Location: San Jose, CA
Duration: 6 Months (Contract to hire)
 
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Project Manager to lead and manage the planning, execution, and delivery of IT infrastructure projects. This role plays a key part in aligning infrastructure initiatives.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage end-to-end lifecycle of IT infrastructure projects, from initiation through closure. Develop comprehensive project plans including scope, timelines, and resource allocation.
  • Work closely with IT architects, network engineers, operations teams, and business stakeholders to define project requirements and align initiatives with company goals.
  • Create and manage project budgets, track expenditures, and ensure optimal resource utilization within financial constraints.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies. Monitor project health and implement course corrections as needed.
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors and service providers. Manage contracts, procurement, and ensure delivery compliance.
  • Ensure all deliverables meet quality and organizational standards. Implement best practices and continuous improvement measures.
  • Maintain thorough documentation for all phases of the project. Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
  • Lead project teams, foster a collaborative environment, and provide mentorship to support team development and project success.
 
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in:
  • IT networks, compute systems, storage, identity, virtualization, and cloud services.
  • Leading full lifecycle IT infrastructure projects.
  • Defining scopes, objectives, and milestones with strong stakeholder engagement.
  • Managing project budgets, schedules, and resource plans.
  • Coordinating with cross-functional IT and business teams.
  • Reporting progress, risks, and mitigation strategies to executive leadership.
