o Must be in reasonable commutable (by car) distance from Memphis, Tennessee or Arkansas; travel will be required within these two areas/states
o Will be split travel between Phoenix & Seattle; ideally find a candidate within Phoenix area

Summary:
The main function of a field clinical specialist is to provide education on all aspects of focused and core products within the CC portfolio device handling, integration and troubleshooting techniques related to CC equipment, software, tools and products required for clinical use including but not limited to intraoperative case coverage and coordinating one-on-one ad hoc training sessions and in-service structured education programs in the ICU, OR, and other acute care areas (e.g. emergency department)
 
 Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide physicians and medical staff with clinical instructions to ensure continuity of education and technical support related to all aspects of patient outcome throughout the continuum of care, while anticipating and foreseeing obstacles and planning accordingly for smooth execution.
  • Advocate with clinicians to uncover other opportunities to expand the use of CC focused and core products
  • Identify and train select hospital staff members to act as designated experts on EW products
  • Collaborate with sales reps and managers to implement a strategic plan of action in their respective territories
  • Validate software and hardware updates in the field as applicable
 Experience and Education:
  • Associate’s degree or equivalent in Nursing or related field
  • 0-2 years of experience required
The Clinical Field Specialist will provide education on products within the Critical Care portfolio through intra-operative case coverage, coordinating one-on-one ad hoc training sessions and in-service education programs in the ICU, OR, and other acute care areas. They will also provide physicians and medical staff with clinical instructions to ensure continuity of education and technical support related to all aspects of patient outcome throughout continuum of care while anticipating and foreseeing obstacles and planning accordingly for smooth execution. We expect our CFS to advocate with clinicians to uncover other opportunities to expand the use for CC products. One way they have found success is by, identifying and training select hospital staff members to act as designated guide on EW products. None of this can be done, without collaborating with sales reps and managers to implement a strategic plan of action in their respective territory! Lastly, this person will be responsible for validating software and hardware updates in the field as applicable.

Key Responsibilities:
o Drive Sales Impact Through Clinical Expertise: Partner with territory managers and Regional Directors to support strategic selling efforts. Deliver clinical value and support that will influence buying decisions and shorten the sales cycle.
o Support Product Adoption: Assist with clinical evaluations and in-servicing to ensure a smooth transition from sale to standardization of care. Help eliminate barriers to adoption by reinforcing product benefits and addressing clinician concerns.
o Customer Engagement & Education: Conduct hands-on training sessions, hemodynamic classes and case support for physicians, nurses, and other stakeholders—positioning our product as the gold standard in patient care.
o Field Intelligence & Feedback: Gather insights from clinicians to help shape sales strategy and planning.
o Collaborative Selling: Work closely with the Regional Director and Territory Managers during customer calls, demos, and value-based discussions to highlight clinical efficacy and differentiate our offerings.

What will a typical workday look like?
o Morning
Case work in focus growth accounts to drive value, assess board for follow up cases and potential expansion
If case is going well and there is good buy in from anesthesia, leverage relationship to introduce yourself to surgeon.
Expectation: Meet 1-2 new clinicians each week that are not aware of our technology and how it’s being used inside their hospital.
If OR is stable, slow or you are done rounding, go to ICUs to assess potential patients (similar to OR board)

o Lunch
Check in with TM/CFS on day and next steps
Assess afternoon cases, ICU status and if another account needs attention

o Afternoon
Continue case work in OR/ICU/other care area
Think about the strategy and ensure that the actions of the day reflect the overall goals
Administrative time / respond to emails / additional training time

o 4pm-
Day end pending all cases are finished, there are no NEW providers using the technology in the OR or ICU and there are no new opportunities
Conduct regular check ins/updates to TM to ensure all objectives are met

What will the work schedule be? Can any overtime be expected? How many days onsite?
o Monday – Friday in the assigned focus growth accounts; overtime can be expected.

Will there be any travel involved?
o Yes travel will be required frequently – up to 75% of their time. Depending on location of focus growth accounts, individual may be traveling overnight to accounts.

Will you consider remote work? If yes, will they need to be in a specific time zone?
o No, this position will require the individual to be at the accounts when cases start (usually anywhere from 5-7AM) and work the cases until they’re over.
o This role is a field sales position and must be a “road warrior” where they have no concerns with traveling frequently.

Background & skills required:
o Minimum of 3 years of previous clinical experience in an acute care environment
o associate’s degree in nursing or related clinical field
o Proven understanding of cardiovascular science, cardiovascular anatomy, pathology and physiology
o Strong understanding of hemodynamic monitoring
o Product portfolio experience with our products: 
? ClearSight Finger Cuff
? ForeSight tissue oximetry sensor
? HemoSphere monitor
? Acumen IQ arterial line sensor
? Acumen IQ cuff
? FloTrac arterial line sensor
? **NOTE – we’re hoping that with these roles that they can ramp up immediately rather than going through our typical training; so prior experience in the hospitals with our products will be important.
o Strong written and verbal communication skills

What else we look for in a candidate (Preferred):
o Preferred Bachelor’s degree
o Critical Care and/or Cardiac Clinical Experience - TVC, CV ICU or CV OR nursing experience highly preferred
o Licensed as a Registered Nurse
o Experience in a clinical or sales role within a Medical Device company
o Confirmed proficiency presenting in front of other groups
o Shown leadership progressing within the Nursing field
o Proven ability to inspire change within their hospital/organization
