Job Description

Job Title: LMS Support and Administration
Location: Plainsboro, NJ (Hybrid: minimum 3 days onsite)
Duration: 6 months with possibility to extend

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide customer support and administration of the LMS across multiple business areas.
• Manage learner issues, submitted via ServiceNow as a case. Additional handling may include email and IT Helpdesk tickets.
• Handling of LMS-related issues may include learner profile management, password assistance, assigned training troubleshooting and completion tracking.
• Through a requirement gathering session, work directly with stakeholders to develop and launch learning initiatives.
• Review and periodically create process guides, audits, system demo presentations, and other potential documentation in support of the system.
• Support course owners in areas of system requirements, multimedia storage, course cloning, copying, backing, retrieving, and setup processes within the LMS.
LMS Administrative Functions:
• Manage learning elements, including creating/updating course properties, courses, curricula and certifications. Enrolling users using the appropriate processes and utilities to maximize efficiencies.
• Execute user provisioning, including bulk upload of users, password changes, and accuracy of user information.
• Create, validate and manage report subscriptions to ensure they are drafted to provide desired data output.
Stakeholder Management and Project Involvement:
• Interact with other organizations to design and deliver support roles, resources, strategies, and initiatives to maximize cross-functionality.
• Perform other projects related to the development and maintenance of the LMS.
• Serve as a consultant and subject matter expert on LMS functionality and processes, presenting best use of the system for their needs.
• Build, test, and demonstrate scenarios for stakeholder review meetings and assess new features and enhancements, making recommendations on implementation.
Data Analytical Work:
• Engage in Saba Online Community to network with peers and identify opportunities and practices to enhance the training experience.
• Review and assess new features and enhancements, explaining the potential value to be delivered.


Minimum Requirements:
• Experience in supporting users of an LMS system as an Administrator, with technical back-end knowledge a plus.
• Execute testing of newly created learning elements for accurate behavior, with the ability to communicate results to stakeholder for correction.
• Familiarity with user aspects, problems, implementation, setup, and maintenance of online courses; adept at troubleshooting user problems; supportive and cooperative with users.

Required Skills:
• Advanced technical computer skills, including experience with learning management software (LMS). SharePoint and system testing experience is a plus.
• At least 4 years of demonstrated LMS administration experience, preferably in a validated environment.
• Proficiency in Saba Cloud highly preferred.
• Knowledge in uploading and testing multiple forms of content, including SCORM files.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, especially Excel for various functions such as v-lookups, pivot tables, data comparison, and calculations.
• Solution-focused with the ability to think outside of the box to address requests and situations outside of normal occurrences.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills.
• Demonstrates superior customer service.
• Experience working with LMS technical personnel to assess, introduce, and implement enhancements derived from stakeholder requests and ongoing product releases.

Highly Preferred Skills:
• Experience using HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.
• Hands-on experience with various types of training assignment methods such as bulk data import management operations and automatic training assignments.
• Experience working within Agile methodology and writing Agile features and user stories.
• Ability to gather requirements from stakeholders, analyze, understand, and communicate to the technical team what customers are asking for.
• Ability to improve business processes and capitalize on opportunities.
• Ability to negotiate compromises when business needs conflict with technical constraints.

Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in IT or equivalent technical training & certifications. Knowledge of GxP system requirements is preferred.
