Job Description

Job Title: Program Manager/Inclusion and Belonging Program Manager
Location: Oakland, CA 94612 (HYBRID)
Duration: 11+ Months (Possibility of extension depending upon business requirements and performance)

Description:
  • Assignment is hybrid.
  • Required in the office quarterly in-person every other month and may go to one day a week in office before end of year.
  • Client laptop will be issued mouse, keyboard if needed).
  • With manager prior approval can submit monthly expense for internet and cell for a pre-determined amount.

Position Summary:
  • The Inclusion and Belonging Program Manager plays a key role in shaping client’s inclusive workplace culture.
  • This position is responsible for designing and managing initiatives that foster belonging, recognition, and engagement across the enterprise.
  • The role focuses on embedding inclusion in workplace experiences, coordinating meaningful programs, and amplifying employee voices through storytelling, leadership highlights, and organizational events.
 
Job Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute Inclusion & Belonging programs that enhance employee experiences
  • Coordinate logistics for Diversity Councils, Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), Roundtables, and Community of Practice events
  • Lead storytelling, recognition, and engagement initiatives that elevate diverse perspectives
  • Draft and distribute communications, success stories, and leader spotlights
  • Manage program documentation, content libraries, and internal SharePoint sites
  • Track participant feedback and qualitative insights to drive strategic improvements
  • Collaborate with Organizational Culture and Communications teams to align messaging and programming
  • Assist with budget tracking, vendor coordination, and reporting for diversity-related initiatives
  • Completes assignments of moderate scope and complexity.
  • Requires some guidance on moderately complex issues.
  • May participate on project teams.
  • Understands the basic organizational structure and how to utilize available resources.
  • Communicates with peers inside and outside of client exchanging ideas or gathering information.
 
Qualifications
Minimum:
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, HR, Inclusion & Belonging, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in program management or coordination, inclusion & belonging initiatives, employee engagement, or business operations.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and collaborative platforms (e.g., SharePoint, Teams).
 
Desired:
  • Experience supporting Inclusion & Belonging initiatives or leadership development programs
  • Strong background in employee experience and enterprise-wide engagement strategies
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Understanding of storytelling, internal comms best practices, and change management
  • Full understanding of Program Management.
  • Ability to assess and recommend solutions for assigned projects
  • Ability to prioritize, plan, perform and communicate activities both in written and verbal form
  • Knowledge of current utility and energy industry issues, industry trends and political, economic and social issues affecting the market.
