Job Description
Job Title: Lab Engineer II
Location: Menlo Park, CA
Duration: 6 months
Responsibilities
? Integrate, bring up, and maintain network labs owned by the Netcastle team
? Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement lab infrastructure
? Identify and resolve technical network and system issues during installation and bring-up of network equipment
? Troubleshoot complex problems and provide timely solutions
? Coordinate the delivery and installation of new network products
? Test switch testbed installations to ensure they are ready to be used by other software teams to validate their software
? Develop and execute test plans to ensure quality and reliability of network equipment
? Maintain accurate inventory records and perform regular audits
? Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to inventory management
Must Have Skills
? Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
? 2+ years of experience in network lab environment development
? Proficiency in network switch infrastructure (Cisco, Juniper, etc.)
Soft Skills
? Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
? Strong communication and interpersonal skills
? Ability to work in fast-paced team environments
? Detail-oriented and organized
Preferred Skills
? Experience with network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, etc.)
? Knowledge of network security best practices
? Experience with inventory management systems
? Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash)
Years of Experience At Least 2+ years of experience in network lab environment development
Must-Have Skills
1. 2+ years of experience in network lab environment development
2. Proficiency in network switch infrastructure (Cisco, Juniper, etc.)
Nice-to-Have Skills
1. Former Meta Experience is Preferred. Experience at Other Networking Companies: Cisco, Broadcom are also preferred.
2. Experience with network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, etc.)
3. Knowledge of network security best practices
4. Experience with inventory management systems
5. Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash)
