Job Description

Job Title: ID Verification Engineer
Contract: 3-6 months duration)
Location: Preferred local to the Southlake building, 5 days a week on-site. 1 potential remote day per manager discretion
In this role, the day-to-day responsibilities would include:
1.      ID Verification System Implementation:
•           Implement and configure ID verification platforms such as Ping, Hyper, LexisNexis, or similar technologies.
•           Ensure seamless integration of ID verification systems into existing infrastructure.
2.     Engineering & Optimization:
•           Optimize ID verification workflows and systems to improve performance and efficiency.
•           Perform system tuning to maintain high availability, scalability, and low-latency processing.
•           Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in the verification process.
3.     Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams:
•           Work closely with product managers, security teams, and other stakeholders to define and refine project requirements.
•           Provide technical expertise and collaborate with other engineers to design, build, and deploy ID verification solutions.
•           Participate in regular team meetings to update stakeholders on progress and discuss any challenges.
4.     Security and Compliance Assurance:
•           Ensure that all ID verification systems are secure, compliant with regulations, and adhere to industry best practices.
•           Perform regular security assessments and implement necessary patches or updates to ensure system integrity.
5.     Technical Leadership and Mentoring:
•           Provide mentorship to junior engineers and assist in their professional development.
•           Guide less experienced team members in the proper use and configuration of ID verification technologies.
•           Lead troubleshooting and debugging efforts for complex technical issues.
6.     Documentation & Reporting:
•           Maintain thorough documentation of system configurations, workflows, and troubleshooting processes.
•           Generate reports on system performance, issue resolution, and any ongoing risks or concerns.
•           Document and track any modifications or improvements made to the ID verification systems.
7.     Testing & Validation:
•           Conduct regular tests of ID verification systems to ensure they are working as expected and identify any areas for improvement.
•           Validate system configurations and integrations to ensure that they align with project goals and specifications.
 
Must Have
Pull from day-to-day responsibilities. Rank in order of importance:
•           5+ years of experience in engineering roles focused on ID verification technology tools and platforms such as Ping, Hyper, LexisNexis, or other related ID verification systems.
•           5+ years of experience with Ping Fed and implementing Federation and MFA Solutions.
•           Strong understanding of ID verification processes, including authentication and fraud prevention.
•           Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
•           Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
•           Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
 
Preferred industries or clients you have had success hiring from in the past? Financial Institutions or Insurance institutions and/or credit card companies

Define Experience – What specific tasks will the candidate need to perform with each technology? Are there any similar tools/technologies? We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Engineer for an upcoming ID Verification project. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of hands-on experience with ID verification technologies, particularly Ping Federate (Ping Fed), and experience implementing federation and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) solutions. This project requires expertise in the engineering and implementation of ID verification systems, with a specific focus on security, compliance, and performance within a niche technology space.
How many years of experience? Degree or certs required? 5+ years of experience, no required certs.
What environment/technical ecosystem does your team work in/ is this project in? ID verification platforms such as Ping, Hyper, LexisNexis,
